Climbing and bb height, low gears

My understanding is that both bikes have a 50-50 weight distribution (depends a bit on the rider). If that's true, then it is the difference in the height of the CG that produces better climbing traction for the Vendetta.

Climbing and bb height, low gears

I think it is the lower CG of the Vendetta that produces better traction. Longer wheelbase makes it easier to have a lower CG. -Cliff

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

I'm having this same problem with my Silvio. The problem started after I made changes to the bike (rotated bars forward and moved them a little farther out) and after I started doing a lot more climbing. I was off the bike for two weeks recently for business travel, but soreness was there even...

I have the Topeka Ridecase, and it works great. I have the 6Plus, and the Ridecase has the added benefit of making it easier to use the iPhone one-handed when not riding. -Cliff

Do you push or do you pull?

My question wasn't so much about foot-steer or control. It's about the fact that on rides with a lot of elevation gain, I find that my biceps and forearms are A LOT more sore than my legs. I'm going to start experimenting with strategies other than pulling on the bars so much. But on grades...

Do you push or do you pull?

When climbing or sprinting or just trying to avoid foot-steer, do you pull on the bars or push on them, or both? I have mostly been pulling on them, and I find that my arms get really sore after longer rides or rides with a lot of climbing. I've started doing more pushing, or pushing on one side...

HPV Fun Day at Hellyer Velodrome

Larry, the Hellyer velodrome has 23 degree banks. Not sure how that compares to other velodromes. What is the angle for the velodrome in Fort Lauderdale? Riding with the other bikes wasn't as daunting as I thought it might be. For most races I used my mirrors, which helped keep the spacing...

HPV Fun Day at Hellyer Velodrome

I entered five races at the HPV Fun Day at Hellyer Park Velodrome: 200m flying sprint, 4-lap race for newbies, first man out, 8-lap race, and 30-min race. This was my first experience with racing (except for the ad hoc race that occasionally happens when an old guy on a recumbent passes a...
