    Longer chainstay = more speed

I have a vendetta. My cranks are 155mm , I have a medium chainstay 19" and my knees at the highest position are just over 3 inches over my shoulders. The only way I can lower my knee height are to use centrally cleated shoes or a change of seat. So after that experiment perhaps the idea of a...

Asthma on the bike - affected by the cold?

I have suffered most of my life with asthma. I don't go out in cold damp air. If it's not so cold and dry I go riding with a tube type scarf that I roll up over my mouth and nose that makes me look a bit like a bank robber. It stops the cold air rushing down my throat. I certainly don't get my...

    Longer chainstay = more speed

I'm interested how you get on. I was told that having a larger chainstay would make the bike less stable. I think cruzbike do 3 lengths of chain stays.

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Keto is always getting on the scales. Remember though.... muscle is heavier than fat. You want to build muscle but lose the fat. I supplement my diet with a high protein shake low carbohydrate powder. It's not cheap. The stuff I use, I tried to buy in America and it was three times expensive. I...

    Crash

Two zip ties placed on the opposite side will keep the assembly together. First ensure chain is off chainwheel. Put bike on its side with deurallier on top. Removing the axle in a downwards fashion will keep the assembly together @trplay is the superstar of this technique

    Curved Slider

If you aren't overweight, the curved slider is a no brainer. However if you like to hang a bottle underneath the boom then you might differ.

    Crash

You might want to take the opportunity of upgrading your chainstay too. It looks like your vendetta is a version 2. I am very pleased with mine

    Climbing hills on a V20?

Great for short climbs and bridges but not for any length of time as it gives you tendonitis. Probably more susceptible the older you are.

Three great big wild dogs with gnashing teeth at 7 in the morning does it for me.

Here's an interesting video about sustaining 440watts for an hour. It can be done.

    Cruzbike KOM/QOM challenge 10-31-17 thru 10-10-18

As it was pointed out to me. Best make your own Strava segments. Make sure they'e endurance segments just for the Vendetta. Then the only way the buggers can get it is by drafting with 3 DF's together. Before I go gunning... I've got to lose some weight.

    Bike Sebring 2018

My knees are quite sensitive. After shortening my cranks I can put 200watts down and still walk. I think this says a lot for shorter cranks. The only drawback is a limitation in powermeters as you won't find cheap crank based powermeters.

    Bike Sebring 2018

How on earth does a velomobile turn? I noticed recently that my track bike has toe overlap and if you try and do a u turn on that clipped in, you fall. I did notice that a rider behind me last year had a fall... it is quite a common occurrence. Perhaps the event organizer could do something for...
