    Introducing the Q Commuter/Touring Rack

This rack is specifically designed to fit the Q, there would not be a realistic way to attach it to another model. The S30 and V20 are really better off without racks as they would extend so far past the rear axle. The Underseat Scarab Bag is the best carrying solution for the S30 that we have...

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

Ratz, It does look like a laptop of those dimensions will fit, but it would be a tight one I think. Robert

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

Bruce, we thought about doing that, but decided against it in order to save weight and make for a bag that when off the bike is nice and collapsible. The Vendetta version bags are here in hand. The Silvio version is fresh off the line today - so they are ready. Robert

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

Alan, The V20 version will indeed work on the old Vendetta. Robert

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

Ratz, We will try some different laptops. I imagine a 13" for sure but we will see what we can get in there.

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

MrSteve, It is indeed the logical place to carry gear. For the stuff you need on a day ride or commute this bag works very very well. Robert

Introducing the Cruzbike Underseat Scarab Bag

OK everyone - introducing a new lightweight cargo option for the Vendetta AND Silvio! This bag has been in the works now for about a year. It has gone through several evolutions and it is ready for the market! We finally have a small run of each bag for sale here...

    Vendetta finally tested

The 4000's are like riding on ice hoops on an ice rink. Ugh. I honestly do not know why people like those tires. The Panaracers are very grippy - maybe a bit "slower" than the contis but I never worry about washing out. I will have to try the ONE's - have not tried those myself.

    Experiences Silvio S30 installed a Schlumpf SD/HSD & Rohloff hub ?

The newer iterations of the Silvio that have the front clamps around the BB shell can not take a Schlumph - it is physically not possible. It would also add weight to the front MBB which would not improve the handling at all. The new S30 fork is 132.5 spacing so technically hubs can fit, but...

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

This is a great thread and definitely technique and practice are the order of the day. The effects for me became much more subtle over time and now I barely notice the inputs anymore unless on a sudden sprint.

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

Jim has hit all the nails on the heads here in this thread. I will also add that these things develop with time and are skills that one has to put the time in to master. That is not to say they are difficult - they just need to be mastered. Particularly the V20 and also the S30 - these bikes...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

Another great bar and my new personal favorite is the Salsa Woodchipper. I cut 1.5" off the ends and it is a sweet bar. Nice flat sections to load on the power, and it positions the hoods straight ahead and not sideways in the wind. Riding the hoods is easy. Personally do not like the bullhorn...

    Sizing conundrum

With your X-seam a Large will put the handlebars right in your lap without a stem extension. You would want a medium. However, there are no longer any mediums in stock until the next batch of V20's are ready.

    Vendetta vs others

Riding a V20 at speed is not for a beginner. (Riding ANY bike at speed is not for a beginner) There is skill involved and every bike is different and behaves differently at different speeds and in different ways. So training, nerve, and common sense are critical. That said, I feel safer at...

    Beginners Pedaling Stroke

Ifan is correct. Ride the hills to ride the hills better. :-) Robert

    Vendetta vs others

I would say - especially for the V - "the bike will always be faster than you are" This is NOT true for many other recumbents. They all have a ceiling. Some are low and others are higher. The V is the highest.

Boom sock - work in progress

Hmm, I am not sure this is a realistic idea in real riding. In a wind tunnel under controlled conditions maybe but otherwise the fabric would likely fill full of air and act like a giant sail. It is already rough with a full disc wheel and a wind (which rarely hits dead on). It will be...
