The FSA SLK does work in the upper position. Still, any caliper is going to feel smoother when in the lower position due to the way the housing is routed.

I will agree with Jim, the V2K is a SWEET deal and having ridden them around this is an amazing price for the build and quality. Really - not just saying this because I am building them - but this quality for the price is very hard to come by. Robert

Considering your limited time acclimating to the bike and getting it 100% dialed in (which takes a good season of riding and tweaking) your result is amazing! Robert

My #1 advice for learning to ride is to take your time and get to feel and master the nuance of the FWD particularly in turns before getting too fast or pulling switchback maneuvers, etc. Find an empty lot and get a feel for the ride. Use platforms for a while and start with the basics...

This find is gold for everyone with the older V's for sure, as old OEM ones were specially made and we no longer have many - and ordering more is not super realistic due to cost and MOQ.

Treat the handlebars as if you were gripping ripe bananas, and only go for the hardcore grip when you absolutely need that kind of power. I do a lot of practice on calm stretched not even grabbing the bars - I just barely rest my hands on them. Heal well!
