Your The Texas Time Trial Primer

Nope - I am committed to my little stubby bars for now. I rode them for about 2 hours each day Sat, Sun, & Monday and I felt fine. Of course it will be interesting to see if I say the same thing after 12-hour of riding. Truthfully, I have been riding them so long that when I ride the full drops...

Hope so! Why don't you cover your carbon fiber wheel with "carbon fiber cover" - it has to be stronger and more puncture resistant than cardboard! :D

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Hey Jason, I use VIRB edit. I am not sure if it compatible with other camera's but seems to me like it should work with one that take the same video format. It used the Garmin .fit file for what it calls the "G-metrix". This is where it gets it information to put the data on the overlays. You...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

The chain will chirp or sweek if and when all the wax is gone. That is the signal for me to re-dip it.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

3 years ago - I spent about $50 for 3 pounds of "molten-speed". Sound like a lot of money, but in that time I have ridden about close to 45,000 miles and have only used up 1/2 pound of the stuff. I re-dip my chains every time I hear them start chirping at me! I know, the guy who tests everything...

Sometimes my life is like a "Lexus" commercial

The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection! haha When you get the bug, it is really like a never-ending testing project. Now that I am laid up with all this road rash, I though I would try and figure out how to make more power on my V20. Since my Century record attempt on the nearly flat seat angle...

Starting my taper for Texas 12-hour earlier than I had planned like a week too early - haha. A huge gust of wind took me down and I slid bad at a the Charlotte Motor Speedway track 2 evenings ago. I was not riding the Vendetta, so she is alright.I got really bad road rash on my left thigh about...

    Nohands riding and starting.

OK you balance addicts, you think this girl on the bamboo bike has some serious balance skills, check out this routine! You need to be sitting down with one free hand to hold your jaw when it drops.

    Nohands riding and starting.

It was very impressive indeed. She has very good balance. Not to take anything away from her but her seat is at about 40-45 degree which makes balancing a little easier. I do not doubt she could probably learn to do the same thing with a 10 degree seat. She would just have to practice and adapt...

It is official. New UMCA records for Cruzbike

Actually it is easier to get off of. Since the seat it flat you unclip and slide back easily. Getting on and going is a little more difficult I'll have to say!

2018 V20 Coming Down the Line

I think would great! I would insist there be a stipulation that the 4 "new" owners must get together and do RAAM the next year. :D:p:rolleyes:Signed in blood of course.;):cruzbike:;)

It is official. New UMCA records for Cruzbike

Yeah this seat is almost, flat - probably why so arrow, and probably why harder to make the power. See the V20 (below) at about 20 degrees and then the Arrowhead that is about at 15 degrees. The Arrowhead is the most Aero and the bike I used to average 31.8mph for a 10Mile TT. This proves that...

It is official. New UMCA records for Cruzbike

Thanks everyone. It was a huge group effort. Just like RAAM - you can't really do it all alone. To answer your question Matěj: The back end is a prototype Vendetta frame designed and built by Charlie and Thom Ollinger (Charlie used to race on Vendettas a while back and is as strong as a ox!)...
