What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I went over the bars twice on my Claud Butler. Such jolly fun! I tboned a car on my Grasshopper. I was doing 35mph. Bottom of a hill. Broken elbow. The only damage to the bike was a broken chainwheel. The light, which is fixed under the B bracket, was not damaged. I dented the car and...

    A high speed run

I saw the other video, where he rides down a volcano and breaks the frame. I think snow, even hard packed snow, is softer and smoother than pumice.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

"It lookth dangerouth. Thuppothe you thkid," they say to me. "Why are you talking funny?" I ask. "I went over my handlebarth a few yearth ago, and broke my teeth." People who have gone over the bars are disqualified from asking if a recumbent bike is safe.

    Emmit Smith's Grand Fondo

How do you build a bodyshell around a bike that bends in the middle?

    Emmit Smith's Grand Fondo

Stairs you say. One of these clever home-builders will make a human-powered transformer. Pull a lever and the thing sprouts legs and walks.

    Your Advice Would be Appreciated

My Grasshopper's Rohloff has a wider range than the XX1 on my Silvio. If I got a smaller chainwheel I would spin out. I HATE double chainwheels.

Ride video : My weekend outing.

The traffic looks about as bad as London. The road surfaces all look good. Trouble is the pavement, or lack thereof.

    Your Advice Would be Appreciated

My Grasshopper is bendy. I sat on it with one foot on the ground and one foot on the pedal. I squeezed the brakes hard and pressed the pedal hard. I saw the BB going up and down. So why does it seem so hard to get the Silvio up a really serious hill? Then I realised that the Grasshopper has...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Disk or rim brakes? Is the BB shell metal? What will you do about the boom and slider?

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

It was a Silvio2, all black. The frame snapped under the seat, so Cruzbike sent me a replacement, which was wonderful of them. They sent me the seat, the bit underneath, and the back triangle, which are white. The front end is original, including the cut slider. I never did the notch thing...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I cut the one that ends at the bars. There was no problem. Maybe they changed the design.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Slider was the one I cut. When I announced it in this forum I mistakenly said boom. I pushed the slider in as far as it would go, and it still stuck out too far. Cutting the boom will not make the slider go any further in.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Did you cut the boom or the slider? I cut the slider nearly 2 years ago and I am not yet regretting it. Are these bikes designed for really tall people? Does Mr Tolhurst have really long legs?

There's Really no Getting Around Some Things

Hope you can start riding again. Does she still need help? Are you still stressing the joint?

    Treading carefully

Horrible day for ride. Worse if you are on a 'bent, because the rain blows in your face. All those wet roads would make me scared of skidding. A good day to be banned by the UCI.

    Comparing Vendetta to DF speeds

Another post from a slow, low wattage rider, who agrees with Jason. Hills slow you down. So slow down. I just try to maintain my (admittedly pathetic) pevel of effort all the way to the top. What are your gears for? I have a single chainwheel. All you lot have triple, and are stronger than...

    What's a G-Out?

You will find out if you are ready. The problem is if you slightly turn in the air. Then you get a scary landing. I have been in the air on both my bikes. Difficult to arrange for a photographer when it happens. Charles will have to take my word for it.

    It's Mallet Season

I agree about the table. You appear to spend as much on your workshop as you do on your bikes. Puts my shed to shame.

    Treading carefully

I think my speed is about half Larry's, and I do not blame the fact that he has a Vendetta and I have a Silvio. If a bull chased me it would be a good day for the bull.
