    Larry Needs a NickName

He is Cruz Merkx It's just difficult to wear the backwards baseball hat with a headrest.

    It's Mallet Season

Upgrade your mallet? Why bother? I still use an analog mallet. Do not be brainwashed into wasting masses of dough on an iMallet.

Something new - rather old - or (has Larry gone back to the DARK SIDE)

That would raise your centre of gravity a lot. What you need is a pair of balloons that look like Radical bags, one each side of the seat. This would be crash-protection too. You would not need to lean it against anything or use any kind of kick-stand, but you would absolutely have to tie it...

    Adjustable seat angle

I would be winding it all the time. I would never be able to decide on the best angle.

    The Fred Thread

I am not sure which definition of "fred" applies to me. My mudguards are cut and wired on. My light bracket is made of random bits of ironmongery from the huge pile I have collected over the years. My pedals are modified with bits from the same source. My speedo is hanging by its wire. I...

    The Fred Thread

All the DF people wave at me. Maybe they are all Don1 in different disguises.

    Legs too short to flintstone

I have that, chiefly because I HATE double chainwheels.

    Bike In Bleckley 2017

Larry, eat more donuts. Get a belly and even up the field!

Quest deal of the week on BROL

Is BROL the best place to try to sell a Cruzbike? Won't they all go on about how useless Cruzbikes are?

    It's Mallet Season

You forgot the biggest problem - to increase my level of athleticism. And he is older than I am. And I like the gnome's aero hat. Has that been tested at the wind tunnel?

Climbing and bb height, low gears

Balor is right. If you consider the bike and rider as one thing, the centre of gravity moves sideways as you steer. Or think of it this way: When you turn, your feet go to one side of the centre of gravity, your hips and the head-tube go to the other side.

    It's Mallet Season

Can a rubber mallet magically transform me into Larry?

Clever clamp, Jason. And clever Cruzbike company for adopting it.

Same circumstances as ChaleJake. Never any trouble.

    I'm Back! Well..... Sorta.

If you are riding so hard it hurts, you are doing pretty well. It is easier to reach that state on a diamond-frame.

    The Fred Thread

Well, I must be one of these Fred-types. People who see me on my Grasshopper think it is a weird bike. This is the forum for people who think a Grasshopper is too normal. If you commute one way, what do you do with the bike, and how do you do the return journey? Compared with diamond-frame...

    EnLIGHTen me

I agree. On both my bikes my lights are close to the B bracket. Lower than the bars. Low lights are less likely to blind oncoming people. I hate it when they do that to me.

Breadboarding? If it overheats it will be toast.

    Eye catching

Years ago I installed Linux on a Thinkpad, and then got new memory chips for it, and then got a new CPU for it. I had a worse time getting my entry-level Cruzbike conversion-kit to work. I then had even more trouble getting my Silvio frame set to work. I would have been better off getting a...
