    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

The biggest advantage I see in the rollers is the acute balance you develop. It is quite amazing actually. I can remember it was extremely hard to learn to ride them at first (Just like my Cruzbike), but eventually I could it with no hands on my DF - Still working on that on my Vendetta.

    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

Without the base: It is very hard to set your feet down and keep the bike upright, especially if you have to do it quickly while riding.

    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

Yes - (b) is you only option on Kritler rollers, you have to put the drive wheel between the double set of rollers. To help make is easy to start and not dangerous to ride if you fall or stop, I build a "base" out of plywood that covered the entire set of rollers. The tops of the rollers barely...

Initial impressions of Silvio 1.0 vs 2.0

For me - I could actually climb faster on my Silvio than on my Vendetta because I could make more power with the wider hip angle. But you can't beat the Vendetta on flats, gentle rollers and of course downhills.

Anyone willing to talk to a reporter about ED and cycling?

Where was this thing from. Was this an official Cruzbike video/commercial? Pretty what-what amazing!

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yeah great video - only thing that would have made it better would be to have all the data overlays! Would be awesome to see the power/hr/speed etc data of the rider!

    We did it!

    Sweet Abbott!

Unofficial Records for the 6-12-24 Hour World Time Trial Championships

Kind of makes you wonder if you can adopt a little of this "hand" power to a recumbent. Your aero would go down with your arms and hands probably more in the airflow, but if he can generate that kind or power and speed on arms alone, even if you could increase your overall wattage by 20% that...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I even looked into Luge helmets at one point. I have just been put off by the weight of either one - and of course the heat issue during about 8-9 months of the year. Still - since I love to test stuff so much, I'll have to add it to the list!

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yes - I agree - I know my head can be lower and at a better aero angle, but then as you noted the farther back we lay our heads, the more the wind can come up the visor from our chest. I'm thinking of trying to fabricate another visor that would practically lay right on my chest when in the...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

At the urging of my good friend Hardy, I experimented with riding my V with and without my Ventist seat pad. He thought it might be a little bit faster. Speed isn't everything (did I just say that? - haha ), but in the intensest of testing every facet of riding I thought I would give it a try...

Unofficial Records for the 6-12-24 Hour World Time Trial Championships

Wow - one of the most amazing records I see is that Hand Cyclist that did 364.8 miles last year! Arm strength only! Incredible!

Comparing Vendetta & DF power outputs

Heck - I don't even need another person to have a bike race - just 2 power meters! :p (Hub based, and pedal based in my case!)

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Great point Jason, and another really good reason not to have a RWD recumbent that requires 3 regular chains just for one setup!

How Many Watts Are Needed To Break The Current 24HR World Record?

I torque them to pretty much the same as you. I guess I'll eat Pizza for the next week for supper. Then we can have the same weight. Of course our biggest difference is our age: you're reported to be 20, and I am reported to be 90! All that means is that I have lots of gray hair, so you...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

No problem Jason. I'm sure most of the people on the forum would love to follow your progress and cheer for you. If there is a way for one of your crew to text me lap updates, and or photos, I'll be happy to try and post them up here on the forum. I know some events post real-time times because...

My Daughter in San Antonio needs help!

Hello everyone! No - this is not spam - please read on. My daughter is going to college in SanAntonio Texas. She just called me to tell me that her car caught on fire on her was to school this morning. She needs to find a used car pretty fast, or she can't even get to school or work. She is...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

That is all I ever do too - I have never stripped it clean again. I get about 10K miles out of a chain before it needs replacing. I think that other thing that possibly helps is that I don't really do anything "really" powerful - that is not much above 700watts, and if that for really short...
