All good advice above. A triple is not needed on these bikes - and for road groups the industry is going to all doubles and wide cassettes for climbing gears. Youc an get the same gear ratios as a triple with less overlap and lower total component weight. This is better than a triple will ever...

You picked up the bike from the LBS but the front DR was over shifting the big ring? That is not inexperience with the double taps on your part - that is just a bad tune up job (or no tune up) on the part of the LBS. Seems they did not test ride or test shift and set the limit screws properly...

I cannot emphasize enough the importance if you are going to try the Q's that they be set up properly. Otherwise they will never work as designed.

This should be easily adjusted with the limit screws on the FD.

Key is proper setup. Once they are dialed in it is great and I use them any any bike I have set up for longer rides and/or performance. It has been my experience that people who gave up on them right away just simply did not put in the miles to dial them in properly. Robert
