SRAM 11-speed 11-36 cassette for double chainrings?

I ran a set of wheels I had build with HED Belgium rims and the DT Swiss 350's they were a sweet set of wheels. Sadly I sold them with another bike (mistake) and now am running some American Classics. If you run too short a chain the results if you accidentally shift wrong will be... not...

    Drivetrain suggestions?

All good advice above. A triple is not needed on these bikes - and for road groups the industry is going to all doubles and wide cassettes for climbing gears. Youc an get the same gear ratios as a triple with less overlap and lower total component weight. This is better than a triple will ever...

First Silvio ride was a wash...literally

You picked up the bike from the LBS but the front DR was over shifting the big ring? That is not inexperience with the double taps on your part - that is just a bad tune up job (or no tune up) on the part of the LBS. Seems they did not test ride or test shift and set the limit screws properly...

    Q-Rings, input please

I cannot emphasize enough the importance if you are going to try the Q's that they be set up properly. Otherwise they will never work as designed.

Climbing on FWD MBB - a few questions.

Having been on the same hills on nearly every mainstream recumbent at some point over the years - the MBB FWD simply out climbs them all. That is not to say that any given rider will outclime every other rider, but that for one given rider THEY will climb better on an MBB FWD than other...

    Q-Rings, input please

Key is proper setup. Once they are dialed in it is great and I use them any any bike I have set up for longer rides and/or performance. It has been my experience that people who gave up on them right away just simply did not put in the miles to dial them in properly. Robert

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Duncan, I know we have had a few chats on FB already - but definitely call or email me if you have specific questions on fit. A lot of good info above. I am not familiar with a lot of the standard bike boxes and fit - but I am sure the larger ones could accommodate the S30 though there would be...
