Can we get smaller frames and wheels?

Can we get smaller frames and wheels?

More luggage space. Grasshopper has a huge space behind the seat. Or you could design a shorter wheelbase. Good for commuters winding in out of the barriers and easier to fit in the shed.

Test riding a true racing recumbent

Another tilter. It seems that tiltmania is contagious.

Sorry if that sounded like a flame. Could not resist it.

    Saukki wants a Cruzbike

If you ride a DF uphill it feels as if you are using your weight, but this is a fallacy. In order to use your weight you have to use energy lift your weight up in the first place. This lifting-process diverts energy from powering the bike. Why was Merkx such a great cyclist? Because he was...

Crzubike featured in: 5 Expensive Bicycles with Unique Designs

In short, Raleigh etc get an economy of scale. Eventually we will see incorrectly-assembled Cruzbikes really cheap in the supermarkets outselling the MTBs.

    Riding in the rain

Sleet! I had forgotten that horrible experience. My face was frozen stiff. And sun. I sometimes have to ride for miles with my hand in front of my face. And at night the oncoming headlights are blinding. In the UK almost everybody seems to drive with their full beams and foglights on. The...

    Saukki wants a Cruzbike

He said it! In that video he said that DF riders can use their body weight to generate more power. Are we going to start that war again?

    Riding in the rain

A big YES to mudguards. Although they don't fit on some bikes. My custom ones on my Silvio were a lot of hard work, but worth it. But riding a 'bent in the rain is not a nice experience. Stings your face badly. I got caught in a hailstorm on my Silvio. Had to slow down to 5mph. Almost...

    Anyone gone down yet?

Where I come from, if you have a 1km driveway you are really blindingly posh, like the duke of Devonshire or something. I am typing this with one hand because I am tugging my forelock.

    Anyone gone down yet?

When my Silvio popped both its tyres simultaneously I slapped the tarmac. When it was new I had a few almost-falls. It was the wheel-spins that got me. It always seems to happen when people are looking. The bike knows when it can get an audience and make you look like a plonker.

    First Cruzbike Ride in Months

I have ridden both my 'bents on slippery surfaces, but it is a bit scary. You can't get your feet down as quickly as you can on a DF.

Sounds like 3bs has the same problems as me. If the lungs don't get you the belly will.

Test riding a true racing recumbent

I can ride my Silvio no-hands for ever, or until I start going uphill. No-hands is no power.

Longer chainstay = more speed This might interest you. Or it might not.

Test riding a true racing recumbent

Yes! And as a bonus you can have the belly as well.

Test riding a true racing recumbent

Cheer me up, why don't you? My bent legs are fine, what I want for Christmas is a new pair of lungs.

Test riding a true racing recumbent

Seems like a strange present - you need one stocking for each leg.
