Help me decide: s40 or v20

If you plan on camping and carrying any amount of gear that equals more than a Scarab bag - an S40 is the only real option. The V20 is like a time trial bike - it is not designed or intended to haul panniers or any other amount of gear other than the usual stuff to support a race run. The S40...

    V20C Brake Lever Adjustment

Hey all - if you are awaiting your V20C and/or are adjusting it, I wanted to put out this note that I went over briefly in the assembly video but wanted to reiterate it here in a bit more detail. On some of the builds the levers were put too far down the curve of the bars. The result is a...

    Cruzbike C.G. or Weight Distribution

There is no hill I have really "slipped" on that I could also climb up on a RWD without the rear end washing out anyway - or that I couldn't actually climb because the particular bike I was on wasn't a good climber to begin with - so IMO the slippage on a hill is a moot argument for clean dry...

    First ride - questions

Great progress! I find the biggest issue when initially learning is getting too agressive and overthinking the grip on the bars. Relaxed and light (but controlled) is the key. Like has been mentioned once you realize that - the rest starts to come easy and you can use that upper body input to...

When is S40 going to get a carbon front end?

This is very highly unlikely to happen - FYI. And also no backwards compatibility here with any old frames of any model - the new front end is 100% it's own thing - along with the changes that had to be made to the main V20 frame (namely the tapered head tube with much larger lower bearing.)

Inquiries regarding components and other thoughts...

Hey all - I wanted to address a certain elephant in the room that we have had some inquiries on - with regards to the last few batches of bikes - mainly around the component sets that we have been able to source. First - trust me when I say that I would be sourcing the gear we have always used...

    V20 Bottom Bracket

Those old stays that went around the cups... sigh. You might have to change stays or use a different BB. The reality is that some cups are too thin to be clamped and you will have to be extremely ginger in tightening.

    New carbon fiber adjustable seat…

More info on this will be coming - but indeed shipping and supply chain issues have abounded for the last few years.

    Aligning steering?

If you are riding on a road with any kind of crown the bike will want to go down the slope - is that what is going on?

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

The new V20c it will not work - based on the fact we have a specially made "top cap" on this frame that double functions as the main part of the pivot clamp. The good thing is that the new frame has moved to internal cups. This is a good thing (along with the taper, etc) as they can be replaced...

Sebring 12/24 is on for 2022!

I want to post a kudos to all those who raced. I was there as crew and support - and every time I am there I am in awe at the accomplishments you all turn in. After the start - I gathered up a few things and headed out onto thew course to set up a possible stop around the 80 mile mark. By the...

    BRAG 2022

Who all knows this area and can assess? Is this an epic ride where taking it in a good pace to drink up the scenery is par for the course? Or is it a a route wrought with pain?

Are you a pusher or puller?

This is always the best advice I can give. People try top break down the "forces" and what its going on too much. A light pressure forward on both bars to brace everything and pedal smoothly away. It is really that simple. Difficulty in the balance has more to do with seat angle than anything -...

    2022 Q45 email

The rack on the Q45 is not as high as on the S40 - sports usually the panniers that fit best are shallow ones or front bags. Ill have to get an exact measurement but I believe it is 16" from the top off the rack to the ground. The brakes are indeed made by a company "Rever" with Jagwire brand...
