Alexis, the diameter of the elastomer part should be bigger than the one of the plastic disk. Look at my photo compared to yours. Initially I had it the wrong way too. But I would be surprised if this is the cause of the misalignment.

Looking closely at the photos I have the impression that the cause of the misalignment might be the Ti spring blade length. Could you measure its length and confirm with Robert Holler?
