First Impressions of the Big Yellow Vendetta V1.5

Nice set-up on your V. I have it very similar on my Silvio 2.1. Two points I'm questioning: - are your arms not too much up in the air? - can you see something with the mirror attached in this position. I replaced these type of mirror by a REARVIZ on my wrist.

    New prototype trike kit unveiled

The center fixation would have to be different for the Silvio. Fixing it to the brake traverse would create side loads on the suspension arrangement which is not acceptable. Fixing it to the frame under the seat might block the rear suspension. Maybe the angular movement at this point is too...

    New prototype trike kit unveiled

Promissing design. The central attachment point on the brake traverse might be a little flimsy, although it has not much load to take, except when one wheel hits an obstacle (pothole or sidewalk board).

    Custom-length Chainstay Extension for Silvio

the first year I rode my Silvio 2.1 without extension, and last winter I installed the 100mm extension. I largely prefer the position with the higher BB. You have to spot cracks and potholes in advance. If they are so close that they are hidden by the BB or the boom, it's anyway too late to...

    Vendetta arrived work in progress

Lucky guy, having other CB riders close to you. I think I'm the only one in Quebec and eastern Canada. Still hoping it will change in a near future.

i am off to cross the continent 28th sept 2015 4000klm fremantle to newcastle.

sounds impossible to me. Riders on PBP average speeds of 20 km/h (RAAM record 25 km/h). To reach your goal you would have to ride 20 hours per day.

So you want to train with power on a budget?

From an engineering point of view it's understandable. As I see, their powermeter measures the deflection of the crank (elongation of the outer fiber). Probably the deflection of carbon- and solid aluminum cranks is too small to give a reliable measurement. That is the risk with R&D products...

    Starting and stopping

On flat ground I often start doing one or two full turns with one foot only. No hurry to get the second foot up to the pedal.

    Strava

Only recently I started logging my rides on Strava. Does anybody know why the average speed is lower in the preview panel than in the analysis panel? Sometimes the difference is small and sometimes over 3 km/h. The value in the analysis panel matches very closely with my Sigma bike computer.
