Those with an S40 can confirm where the frame serial number is. Is it at the headtube or at the bottom where the stays meet the main tube? With that Cruzbike can confirm the original owner, I think.

Yes, you need to be a tinkerer to get a T50 to resemble an S40. It appears to be especially challenging for tall riders to get the T50 to fit and look like an S40. The bike above is similar to this one below with telescoping stem...

That's a highly customized T50 by the owner. The frontend is not as stiff and as light as the S40 but still good for the price.

I think your S40 is a good/better choice than the V for you. You just need time to adapt and fine tune your new position and I think it will be very fast and practical!

Let me get this one correctly, so for the SAME measured power output and SAME HIP angle, the percieved effort goes up with a greater recline and higher BB? Does it mean the heart is working harder? It would be nice to plot this on a graph: recline angle versues power and Heart rate
