Mirrors should not worry you too much. For less than $20 you can get mirrors with variable height from ebay. So, first get the handlebars at the most comfortable position then get an appropriate mirror. For example I use like the one below, I can adjust the height as needed...

V20 Build complete and first ride in

Old reflexes die hard! That's why learning an MBB recumbent should be exclusive for a period of time for those who also own a rear-wheel drive recumbent. And by the way, that's a great color match for the wheels and bike

Whether it's the French head angle of 55-60 deg. or the cruzbike and Itallian (Marco's) 68-72 deg head angle , the rider can learn to ride hands free even up a slope. The human brain and body is amazing, it can adapt to almost anything, given sufficient time. Look at Marco riding up a climb...

I would have bought a Cruzbike much sooner if...

It will require quite a bit of modification of the seat, seat stays and the steerer/boom to make it resemble a poor man's S40. It's not impossible but the resulting mod may not be as stiff as the real S40 at the bottom bracket and seat area. Secondly the wheelbase of the T50 is also shorter...

I agree, but at my weight of 67.5Kg I cannot loose anymore without risking being under weight and loose power. The bike needs to weigh something like 10Kg or at most 12Kg to be reasonable for me.

Yes, I'am a Christian! And those are members of a church cycling club. Great guys! Lot's of fun riding with them. About the S40 frame, it would be very flattering to own one! My DIY is pretty close in geometry: wheelbase 113cm , seat reclined at about 37° and lowest part is 58cm from the...
