The S40 front stays do not clamp the BB cups like the S30 did. For that reason I think the S40 front triangle is better but the S30 frame (rear suspension) is better for all round road riding. Hence my conclusion that the last iteration of the Silvio S30 with a rigid front end and a suspended...

I think the ideal situation would be an S40 front triangle attached to an S30 frame with rear suspension. Rigid front end plus lite weight titanium leaf rear suspension. It think 30 to 33 deg is sufficiently more aero (than S40) while avoiding recumbent butt and retaining a good front view.

My advice on the downhill: if you had stopped pedalling and want to resume while at speed, start moving your feet slowly without any sudden jolts of force. Make it look like pedalling in slow motion then gradually increase your cadence until you feel some resistance. This will avoid a wobble.

The new V20, S40 and Q45 have Standard English bottom bracket shells at 68mm right? I therefore see nothing stopping someone with a Triple crankset from fitting one or did I miss something? Ride what you like, and like what you ride!

You will have to drill holes on the seat to match the existing tabs on the bike you have. You will have to improvise where necessary for the seat to fit. It's no different from attaching a Thor seat for example. It's, after all, a DIY build of the seat.
