    Upgrade to T50?

+1 on this. gear noise has nothing to do with the model of the bicycle, just tuning , cleaning or general wear. It can be fixed unless the frame is damaged and misaligned, which is not the case here.

    T50 with a Thor seat

Very nice! Now you should try the @Emeljay steering mod and you will have a super setup! https://cruzbike.com/forum/threads/qx100-steering-mod.10853/

    Q45 My first 100 miles

Nice write-up and beautiful bike! My advice on the downhill: if you had stopped pedalling and want to resume while at speed, start moving your feet slowly without any sudden jolts of force. Make it look like pedalling in slow motion then gradually increase your cadence until you feel some...

    Nairobi Weekend Group Ride Videos

There are only three recumbents in the video. I made one and my friend made two. Just using old bike parts to piece the recumbents together. If you want something bad enough but can't afford a factory built one , then you make do with what you have. Some of our roads a very smooth, especially...

    Nairobi Weekend Group Ride Videos

It was not a race. Just a nice weekend group ride regularly organised by a local church (called ICC) for a charity cuase. It's open to all to push their own limits. The MBB/FWD bikes are all DIY copies. Maybe one day when we get $$$ we will have a "genuine" cruzbike:D!

    First Ride of 2018

Nice picture! Which model/make of handlebars are those?

    It has became normal

Sitting up while going over a major bumb or step helps to maintain control while concentrating the shock only on your bottom and not your back.

    S40 Roadie

Probably you should call it Diy-Ti36 :) to avoid confusion. Looks very nice though. How much does it weigh?

    S40 Roadie

23.6 lbs. (10.7Kg) Wow! Love barend shifters too! Personally I would struggle with a 42x32 on a steep hill but considering this is only 10.7Kg, maybe it is sufficient.

    while saving for a v20 I made .....

S40 handlebars and cromoly fork? Very Nice! 14 Kg is very decent too! Congratulations!

    Climbing hills on a V20?

Probably some mechanical problem? Like BB cups clamped too tightly by the chainstay?

    S40 Build

Looks like the radical bag should go higher and mount behind the headrest. Otherwise it's a nice build.

    V20 vs. S40 Compared

Very interesting! Visiting specifications page on the Cruzbike website and looking at the S40, one notes that the seat is further back from the front wheel and a bit higher i.e. 24" at lowest point of the seat versus 20.5" for the V20. And , yes, the wheelbase is slightly shorter for the S40...

    V20 Gold!

I found that a water bottle mounted behind my headrest vibrates a lot more than one under the seat just behind my lumber area when riding over rough road surface. It would regularly come loose and require tightening . How does the ride on the V20 compare to your S40 so far?

    S40 questions

There would be a lot of flex at A at climbing because strong pedalling forces need to be countered by the arms. It also puts a lot more stress on the steerer. The Silvio/Vendetta boom is in line with pedalling forces. It's the stiffest configuration.
