    V20 Build - MBB newbie

I am not sure why so many are having issues with the Yaw style from DR, I have used one for a handful of years since they came out and have never had shifting issues. It is too far from the ring than ideal, but it has not caused me headaches for the most part.

The compact chainring front mech issues thread

This is a real challenge and more and more people are asking for smaller rings - but with" stock" parts (The hanger is a stock part right out of the road bike catalog) you cannot have it both ways. The newer FD mount on the next run of stays (a ways out and I still need to get through the...

Zwift - Cruzbike Activities (races and group rides)

Haven't done much "racing" on Zwift and have been trying to get on there more, but find it easier to just hop on the trainer and blast music and ride as opposed to going through the log-in and setting a ride hassle. Maybe I am over thinking the Zwift thing and I should just ride around in there...

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

I will be eagerly following all these as they get built. With how the S40 type of front end adjusts, getting the cable housing lengths right was a challenge and I decided to err on a bit too long as opposed to having them be too short for a portion of the riding population. I have found that the...

    S40 Versus the new Q

From putting a zillion miles on both: The S40 is a serious road tourer. Peel off the miles on the road. Lighter. 700c awesomeness. It can be very fast - and it climbs like a goat. It is a TRUE road bike. A no compromise road machine? S40 The Q45 is the "rough and tumble" cousin. It has the...

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

Hey all - The Q45's have been steadily going out. PLEASE make sure you review the assembly video and instructions in full. There are some things to keep your eyes open for during assembly for proper adjustment, etc. Hopefully you won't have any issues and the few I saw were isolated, but they...

    Q45 ASSEMBLY PLEASE READ!

Hey all. I have covered this in the assembly instructions, and the video, but I want to post it here as well. It appears that some of the Q45's have a few assembly errors from the factory, so they NEED TO BE CHECKED before you ride. Before you ride. Before you turn the pedals. Ok: The big...

    V20 vs. S40 Compared

Great assessment by Leif on the fit. Yes indeed having too long a chainstay sends you rapidly into the realm of diminishing returns for handling. And it is usually NOT more areodynamic.

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

The front of the Q45 is basically an S40 front end with a very long steer tube. That is needed to get the right clearance for the upright seat angle. It is extremely easy to ride and set with mountain type gear. A triple will work "technically" on this front end - BUT - I have had very limited...

    A couple of build questions

Ken, The FD stalk is really only sized for a 50T or larger - like a 50/34 double. We are investigating options for adapters that will allow FD adjustment for smaller chainrings like a 48etc. And ditto on the cable comments above. Robert

Zwift - Crubike beginners guide and how to's (Q&A to get you going)

Good thread! I am on Zwift now but still working on finding people, etc. The interface is just not intuitive.

    Vendetta with fork from S40

The S40 fork and the V20 fork are different lengths and will change the frame geometry - they aren't meant to be swappable.

    S40 questions

Going back to the brake question... no canti or V brake mounts on the S40. There is a "brake"bridge that looks like you could use a caliper brake, but no standard one will work. You can use a long reach caliper, but those are not nearly as good as anything really - so disc brakes it is. When...

    kickstand for T50?

Never fear everyone there are solutions for this on the way. Stay tuned. For many recumbents a right size kickstand is the holy grail and the T50 was no different there. Robert

    New S 40 build

This is about as far from reality as you can get regarding these models. The difference is in the riding. The T50 is a great bike for local riding and getting your feet wet in the MBB bikes. The S40 is a serious machine designed for touring and shares all the best elements of the V20.

    S40 questions

To everyone - I do not recommend running different wheel and/or tire sizes - it will change the headtube angle, trail, and rake and could have an adverse effect on the handling of the bike. Every bike where there are different wheel sizes - they are designed that way from the beginning - not to...

This one is for those who purchased the Axiom rack for their T50s

Those of you who got the complete T50's - I tapped the rear holes for you are they were not tapped out from the factory. This was not something I could do to all the frame sets that went out. The solution for the untapped ones there is to use a smaller M5 and a nut on the other side. It is a...
