    Vendetta vs others

Riding a V20 at speed is not for a beginner. (Riding ANY bike at speed is not for a beginner) There is skill involved and every bike is different and behaves differently at different speeds and in different ways. So training, nerve, and common sense are critical. That said, I feel safer at...

    Beginners Pedaling Stroke

Ifan is correct. Ride the hills to ride the hills better. :-) Robert

    Vendetta vs others

I would say - especially for the V - "the bike will always be faster than you are" This is NOT true for many other recumbents. They all have a ceiling. Some are low and others are higher. The V is the highest.

Boom sock - work in progress

Hmm, I am not sure this is a realistic idea in real riding. In a wind tunnel under controlled conditions maybe but otherwise the fabric would likely fill full of air and act like a giant sail. It is already rough with a full disc wheel and a wind (which rarely hits dead on). It will be...

Are Vendetta's really fast or what??????

A rigid front end updated V1.5 Silvio. The ultimate road bike that does it all (IMHO) Currently the V20 and S30 forks are not the same axle to crown, so putting a V20 fork in an S30 frame alters the headtube angle/trail and results (because I have tried it) in some scary handling at speed...

Are Vendetta's really fast or what??????

"Cruzbikes are faster than I am" I would agree with that 100% The V1 has a great power position IMHO for the steeps. The V20 is faster on the rollers/flats/downhills.

Are Vendetta's really fast or what??????

I think it is a combo of a lower COG and no front suspension. There is zero vague feeling about the front end of a V - it is a power machine and like a train in the corners. This is where it shows its true racing roots I think. That said, the S30 (or even the older Silvio V1 etc) are much...

    Vendetta V2 (Large) for sale

Correct - There is only one size of fork. Only the chainstays are different lengths.

    Packing a V20

Suz, :-) Yes the box can be reused if you like. It would take a bit of putting back together but it has been done.

Are Vendetta's really fast or what??????

Having been on high speed downhills - smooth and rough - on all of these bikes the V has the advantage in every case. It is like cornering on rails. The Silvio handles the corners well, but I would not take them as fast as I do on my V. Each of these bikes has very clear advantages in certain...

    Front derailleur cable stop

I am glad this worked out. It is always a challenge with old parts as there are many variations in the tubing sizes used back in the day. Whew! :-) Robert

    Vendetta V2 (Large) for sale

I would have to see some photos of the bike to be sure, but yes a medium chainstay could be used to turn it into a medium - that is the only difference between the "sizes" of the bikes. The challenge is the myraid of interfaces between the fork/chainstay/DR hanger. there are specific...

    Packing a V20

I have had a few people ask how the complete builds get shipped. Here is a fun video packing a V20 for shipment. Same crate holds the S30 and coming soon - an option to have your Quest pre-built and shipped the same way.

    T-bone

Elliott. Glad to see that you are OK. Keep us posted on the insurance issues - and given the miles you have on that bike and the nature of the crash - even just looking at that one picture - I would consider that bike a loss. Too much could have been damaged there beyond the obvious. Heal well!
