    Mark's Build

Thanks, Jack. I thought I was a little pokey! The neat thing about that bar (besides the price) is; it's considerably lighter than some of the others. I'm thinking of getting another for my conversion. Mark

    V2 Finally arrived-Rick

What turned the light on for me was when I learned that turning was more about swiveling the hips. Your knees don't bend that way, so turning is more a function of throwing your hips as you go around the bend. Get hippy with it! Mark

    Mark's Build

Rick, I rode it, but just a short shake down ride up and down the street, around the block a few times, stuff like that. Just enough to realize what a little rocket this bike is. I'm hoping to shake it out a little more this evening. Mark

Tragedy averted!!!! It pays to be friends with the LBS owner. I went in there with my broken Mirage rear derailleur and walked out with a Veloce for a grand total of twenty bucks! He dug through his treasure chest and came up with a Veloce body that is the right generation for me. I just had...

How wet do water filled pot holes make you? And where?

No way, man. The Power Ranger costume was for Robert, to go along with his Power Ranger helmet! Mark

    Maddening ignorance still of recumbents!

Truthfully, Harold, you just have to get over it because it's not going to change any time soon. Some people are receptive, most aren't. They just think we're odd and in some ways, they're right. No worries by me, I've given up on trying to recruit the masses to the way of the recumbent...

I think Cruzbike should make everybody sign a disclaimer that requires everybody to do the coasting thing before they put a foot to a pedal. Even just coast down the driveway a couple times. You're learning curve is shorter, your bushes and mailbox will thank you... The neighbors are the only...

It's never a good idea to ram the photographer in the groin with a wildly spinning 52 tooth chainring. Thanks, Rick! Mark

    In stock

Hello, Ian and welcome to the forum! Are you going to be piloting one of the Silvios, or is this strictly for the shop? Mark

    V2 Finally arrived-Rick

 I think we all made that incorrect assumption at one time or the other! It's hard to argue with the good advice handed down by those that have gone before us. It somehow seems wrong to push yourself down the street on a bicycle, but to get a handle on the steering, you really need to...

    Mark's Build

Tragedy. Last night, I decided to hell with the handlbar, I was going ahead with the build. I ran into a little difficulty getting a brake on it. Just for a test ride, I decided to temporarily mount a front brake only. I ran into difficulty when none of the nuts I had fit the recess in the...

    Assembly of Silvio

Thank you, Peder. No, I didn't use any pictures for the assembly. There were a couple places where some clarity might have helped, but it really goes together pretty easy. They have some of the trickier parts pre-assembled, so it's not too bad. Mark

    Riding with racers

Here in Southern California, they don't shut down freeways for things like that, but they will usually have a play on the freeway day before they open a new freeway to traffic. Mark

    Assembly of Silvio

Peder, Truthfully, the assembly is really straight forward. I had studied the assembly sheet provided by Cruzbike on line, as well as the parts diagram for so long before my bike got here, I probably could have assembled it in my sleep. There weren't too many places where I had to scratch my...

We return you now to the regularly scheduled program... :) I swear the drive home from work was the longest ever. I thought I would never get home, but when I did, my wife's car was not in the driveway. Nor was there a box in the garage. She was teasing me. She had taken my daughter to the...

If I had ordered the bar myself, then I would have had it. As it stands now, I'll be waiting for a bar. But, I'm easy. Put some $$$ back in my pocket and I'll try out a different bar. The one I saw was BIN $25 on e-bay. Mark

    Mark's Build

Well, this thread will be used to document my Silvio build; the trials and tribulations, the cussing and discussing. First, the cussing. I ordered the WTB handlbar through my LBS. Yeah, I paid more, but I try to support the local guy at least some, you know? So, upon hearing the news of the...

Freerider for sale, WA DC area

Yeah, the dropout spacing on the rear should be narrower to take a standard "front" wheel without spacers. That's the biggie that I would know about. Mark
