I picked up a Trek 7000 WSD WOmen's ALU step-through 700C hybrid w/ standover about 18", it is very tight down that low, considering a hunk o' plywood with notches for the seat and down-tubes at the preferred seat-pan-height.  Dunno how I'd hold it up. Or, hi-grade PVC with worm-clamps...

My dealings with Kirk [is his name] have been just fine, $pent quite a bit with him. Ahh, but he has some other job and stuff...when you have 10-15-20 eBay auctions running, life is nuts. "Living room" nothing but boxes and peanuts and tape...a scale... Ebay customers expect shipping...

bigger ones YET on some tandems I own, 1 1/4. And the head-tubes meant for "ZeroStack" headsets measure even bigger, well, at the tube-ends not inner part. I DO get 1" fork hits on Amazon and via eBay, often by RST, often 26" or worse: the don't always SAY. Look up HEADSET section...

I have been going round and round on which donor to buy. 24" Girl's GMC Denali w/ 21" standover, the Next Jolla ALU 1-speed at WallyMart [the step-through "stand-over" is minimal], they come in 26" or 24" wheel flavors. With a Jolla you would leave the 1-speed back wheel on, and transplant...

So, how high is a Tiara's seat-boom-tube-top with 26" wheels on?

Jim, I'd be careful about using SPOX on ANY bike, especially the front wheel. The typical failure-point is the nipples break, and the nipple being at the HUB means you now have a piece of Vectran fiber "string" whipping around from the edge of the wheel...if that catches on anything, your wheel...

So is your pick of a Tiara with 26" wheels or 650C? I prefer 26" what with all the variety of rubber available cheap/plentiful. Your bike LQQks wonderful!

You may wish to think about supporting the seatback from the rear drop-outs if there are eyelets on both sides. You could CUT off the seat-tube...though a nub of it would be nice to prevent the worm-clamps from ever sliding off the rear of the boom, don't laugh it happened on a SoftRide beam on...

Today I surfed Walmart in person, but forgot my measuring-tape, sigh. The 24" Jolia single-speed cruisier was quite light and would have a low seat height *if* you can tolerate the angle of the existing seat-tube. Also it looks rrright on the edge of being able to handle 26" rims with 26x1"...

Thanks John! I already have a Trek 220 24" to mod, and a Walmart nearby for a Tiara, but find myself looking at bikes with a new light: "would that be a CruzBike"? And I have never been on a Bent I liked, go figure. I know my diamond frame years will wane. I Do like to innovate and I do like...
