    Creak solved

Bump Silvio creak I have a two year old Silvio 1.5 which has had what seems to be the same creak as your 1.0 version bike. Since the frame is bolted together with numerous fasteners, I have been using an inch/pound torque wrench to check/tighten the fasteners every month or so. Still had a...

    What's Your Crank Length?

Thanks John. I am bicycle Thanks John. I am bicycle poor at the moment (just bought a really nice mountain bike) but intend to buy a Quest at some point in the future. Then will figure out a way to add fenders as it would be my all weather/touring bike.

    Aero wheels

Pic of the Silvio with the Boyd Aero wheels. Probably on the bike to stay but I still have the lighter ROL Race SL wheelset on my DF bike which could be switched if desired for a ride with major hills where they may be faster up long, steep climbs but will surely stop more quickly on the high...

    What's Your Crank Length?

Crank length John, Far be it from me to tell any rider what crank arm length they should use..., much less Maria. Thank you for confirming Maria's crank length and history of always using a more traditional longer armed crank. Will Cruzbike continue to spec the shorter 155mm cranks for...

    Aero wheels

I agree that wheels can make a significant speed difference, depending on route. At present my Silvio 1.5 has a set of Boyd 58mm carbon clinchers wheels. They seem well suited for fair weather rides on the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia, USA. Not to mention the cool factor of the carbon...

Quest 2.0 gearing for climbing during loaded touring?

Thanks for the replies.   I Thanks for the replies. I see that the Technical Specs for the DualDrive 27 Derailleur indicate a max sprocket of 34 teeth so it should be OK with a 13-34T cassette. Anyway, sounds like the Harris C923 cassette would fit OK on a Quest 2.0.

Quest 2.0 gearing for climbing during loaded touring?

Does anyone know if a Harris CS923 Cyclotouriste 13-34 9sp cassette would fit the SRAM dual drive hub on a Quest 2.0 with 559 wheels? The cassette is made with Shimano parts. Basically this is a two part question. First will it physically mount OK on the SRAM dual drive hub? Second, would...
