Silvio 2.0 for sale, Boston area

I am contemplating the sale of my beloved Silvio 2.0, since I am about to relocate internationally and I cannot easily use or store it at my destination. My plan has been to store the bike with family in Massachusetts, but that seems like a waste of a good bike (plus I wouldn't mind upgrading to...

I put a car horn on my Silvio

Actually, Loud Bicycle's "Loud Mini", which sounds like and is as loud as a car horn. I saw a prototype of Loud Bicycle's first horn (now sold as the "Classic") some years ago. I liked the idea: why should I be riding in traffic with cars, but unable to communicate like a car? However, the...

    Suspension Adjustable Headrest, positioning of

OK, what am I doing wrong? In order to get the Suspension Adjustable Headrest at the base of my skull, where the stock headrest used to be, I have to mount it very low on the bars: In this position, my helmet conks right into the headrest bars behind the cushion. The issue is that since the...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

What devilry is this? https://www.facebook.com/cruzbike/ Looks like no rear suspension, which may have advantages. Also, Charles pointed out knobby tires. Will we get a Vendetta with a higher seat angle and more tire clearance? Maybe a revision to the BB ring clamps? What else? My Silvio...

    Vendetta V20

The Vendetta V20 just popped up on the site. No details posted yet, but the photo is a bit disappointing. It appears to share the Silvio S30 boom/slider. No more chrome finish anywhere, no more fat body-color boom with the Cruzbike logo on it. In fact I can't see a Cruzbike logo anywhere on the...

    Century

Forgive me for tooting my own horn, but I wasn't sure I'd ever reach this milestone. My Silvio carried me through a 102 mile ride today, for my first ever century. I merged together two familiar routes to make one megaroute: starting from eastern Massachusetts, northwest over the border into New...

    Lessons from my recent stupidity

A couple of weeks ago I noticed some new creaking sounds from the boom area of my Silvio, which had been silent since the last time I greased and tightened everything. The sounds appeared to be coming from the slider clamp (which clamps the boom above the fork). After some disassembly I...

    !@&#^% sand!

I had my first real fall today, when I was surprised by a big, deep pile of sand extending into the road. I lost traction and slid out onto my left side, into the road. Fortunately traffic stopped instead of running me over. Also fortunately, I had dropped my friend on his DF a while back, so he...

    1000 Miles Later

Rick, that is a beautiful Rick, that is a beautiful bike. It seems like some bit changes every time you post a picture. You must like tinkering.

    Spring has sprung

Not much to report, just happy that after rotting on the couch all winter (too lazy for winter training) I finally got out and did my regular 20ish mile loop today (on the Minuteman Bikeway). Temperatures were up near 50 degrees, and the sun even came out for the return trip. I have to admit...

    Impossible to edit posts

I've been seeing this issue as long as I've been using the forum. At least 90% of the time when I click the "Edit" button on one of my forum posts to correct some mistake, the resulting page first loads a "Comment" editing box containing HTML tags, then a fraction of a second later, the box...

    silvio 2.0 build...

Super cool. I wonder if the Super cool. I wonder if the headlight will work out mounted on the handlebars as you have it. You may find that it either hits your legs when you pedal, or that the beam is often obscured by your legs.

    Carrying a lock?

John has included a hole in the Silvio 2.0 frame, near the rear chainstay, for locking up the bike, which is cool. Now I need to figure out a good way to carry a lock with me -- probably my U-lock. (I like to make stops to buy water or eat.) Curious to know what solutions others have come up...

[SOLD] Sofrider V2, 16 speed, Boston area

For sale in Somerville, MA: one Sofrider V2, 16 speed, silver. Has a few signs of wear but runs great. I will include the bar end mirror (Mountain Mirrycle). I love riding the bike but would like to upgrade to a Silvio, and the Sofrider has to clear out first.

    Best way to report spam?

There is a spam response to my post "Sofrider V2, 16 speed, Boston area" in the "Buy and sell..." forum. It's not a big deal but probably it should be deleted. I'm not sure how to report this issue other than posting here. A "report spam" link on forum posts might be useful in general.
