10 speed compact double on S-40

I've had my S-40 about 18 months and the shifting has always seemed a little off. Having a factory built bike I soon discovered the Sram cassette had 2-3 mm of wobble. Replaced with a XT 10 speed cassette and upgraded the Sram chain to a one piece KMC 10 speed chain. Better shifting but still...

    S-40 with Thor Carrier Seat

Replaced the stock seat on my new S-40 with a Thor Carrier Seat, made my ride much better. The stock seat just didn't fit my body, and I tried to adjust to it, but was very uncomfortable for me. The Thor Carrier supports all of my back and neck with no headrest.

    Quest 3 frame failure

I went for a short (30 miles) ride on Sunday and at the end of it had to make a quick stop at an intersection because of traffic. Quest3 front wheel

I am considering replacing the stock 26in wheels with 700C. Does the front wheel require some dish or is offset built into frame? Looking at the 26in wheel its seems as if no dish was required but may be different than using a 700C wheel.

Decided to replace the original elliptical chainwheel with a Rotor Q-cx1, used a 42 tooth as original and what a difference. Much better power transfer and a smoother stroke. I have had a slight problem with the de-rail shifting since purchasing the bike, but the new chainwheel solved the...

    Shock noise

I finally found the source of noise from the rear of my Quest. After 2 thousand miles, numerous adjustments and tightening all quick releases on the rear of the bike, I found the source of a "RRRRUUUUU" sound. It was the quick release on the shock. The bolt on the quick release is threaded all...
