Any suggestions for a part number for a replacement brake pad for the RideRever mechanical disk brake on an S40???

Can't seem to find a replacement for my S40 disk brake pads. Any suggestions or alternatives like SRAM/ Shimano pads that will work??
All the major brand pads are larger the RideRever pads, which don't have and Part numbers on them.
Thanks

Art,

The Shimano style should work - note that "normal" brake pads have a thicker backing plate than the stock ones - so it might be the case that with the replacement pads you need to leave the "heat sink" (questionable if this even works) out and not use it. The thickness of most pad backing plates is the same as the stock pad backing plate plus the heat sink metal. If you use the heat sink with the thicker backed pads you won't be able to get the pads to clear the rotor properly.

Found this posting after attempting to get Shimano pads to fit. With everything as original of course the caliper will not install over the rotor. Silly me.
Looking everywhere and going to a local bike shop it seems there are simply not pads available for this brand of brake. Really disappointed that Cruzbike would spec out and sell a bike that stock parts ( as basic as brake pads ) can not be used on and that you have to leave out parts from Riderever.
Thinking that in the long run I should

just replace both of them. LBS is saying that Tektro Sprye flat mount is their choice. Has anyone done this or have something that works?

Looks like this is searching for pads for Riderever MCX1. You can try searching for "MCX1". I had a similar question for pads for my V20c which has MCX2. See my posts (has photos)

Please note that MCX1 pads may be different from MCX2 pads. The shape and size need to match your pads. I removed the rear pads to see the exact shape and size. Then I was able to find pads at my local bike store, but ordered off the internet based on pricing. The local bike store only had organic. I was initially going to replace with semi-metallic, but decided on organic because they were inexpensive.

I have a tip. You can use a business card to help determine wear. I found 3 business cards to be about a mm thickness. I used the business cards to compare the new pads with the pads on the bike. I determined I still had some wear left and only last week replaced just the front pads. I also removed the heat sinks for both rear and front brakes to make them easier to check and to service.

You can search for "mcx1 post mount installation instructions" and look for compatible pads. According to the RideRever MCX1 installation instructions I found: "The Rever MCX1 caliper is compatible with the Shimano G-Type disc brake pad shape". But please verify for yourself. The Rever MCX2, by contrast has Shimano K-Type. I am not sure of the exact difference.

Here is some info for you all on these:

Compatible pads listed below. It would be nice if a shop has the Rever stock pads, but not likely. The main thing is that unless they are 100% the stock OEM pads (shops usually do not have them) then you can use other compatible pads but not the "heat sink" insert (which is of questionable value anyway IMHO) because the backing plates of aftermarket pads will be teacher than the backing plate of the stock pads - making new pads+the heatsink too thick making it impossible to eliminate pads rubbing the rotor.
