Just wait till you undo the stock shock and feel the weight! And then don't wait, ride the new shock up a hill or accelerating hard, and feel how it stiffens up the bike. You'll be amazed remembering how you rode the stock one adding wiggle and flex at every power stroke.
You probably don't even need a shock pump, since these guys hold air for months and 1000s of miles. Just use the one at your LBS occasionally.
Buy one! They're cheap, too.
