Just....questions

I use 150mm cranks on my S40. It's the inside of my knees that rubbed the bottle. I had the same problem with larger top tube bags on DF bikes. I actually really messed my knees up on the first day of a 1200km persisting with a TT bag. I'd tested it up to 100km before no problem but after 160km I went through hell for the last 200km of the day. If I'd have realised it was that was causing the problem at the time I'd have removed it.
I've seen some riders so bow legged they could ride with a backpack on the TT. It's just the way our bodies differ I suppose. I'm sure the boom mounts work great for some people.

For those folks with problems hitting their knees on the water bottle mounted on the underside of the boom, is this for an S40 or a V20? If the S40, do you have “normal” or short cranks? I don’t have problems with my bottle mounted on my S40 and I’m wondering if there is something with my setup that could help others.
Mine is for my V20 and it was with both 165mm and 170mm cranks and a 19"chainstay. Now that I have the 21" chainstay I can only imagine it would be hitting my gut even more

I probably just have wide (fat) knees - the inside of my knee hits the outside of the cage. It's just a light brush, but it's aggravating. Just not my preferred spot for a bottle ;).
