Like flying a helicopter

I told a friend that learning my new Q45 must be like flying a helicopter, in other words dam hard......HOWEVER there is light at the end of the tunnel. Today, I completed my first figure eight without risking immediate death. Been at it for 5 days. After much fit and adjustments and several 20 minute rides a day, things are moving along. I can now ride the bike down the street and I found out that from a standing stop, I can start if I use my right foot versus my left foot. All in all, I have enjoyed the learning process and only 5 days ago, I could not ride 5 feet !

Nice! You're basically creating new brain wiring, which I think is best done through a series of short repetitions, just like what you describe. Each repetition brings you closer to the ride where you realize, "hey, I've been riding for an hour, and I haven't had to even think about what I'm doing." Then you've arrived.

Well done; keep it up.

Yay, good work. It’s been over seven years since I converted, so happy. Be sure to review this thread.
