New and Improved Headrest Clamp

I have it. It completely replaces the stock headrest - take that one out. You slide the base bars in, add the swivel mechanism and then add the top bits. The top bars are the ones with the big curve for the neck. Ignore the vtx pad in the photo and the extra strap - that’s from the fastback bags.

It's a good piece of kit. The race case fits fine - it's worth positioning the race case loosely on the bars before you tighten everything down as it's possible to rotate the head rest bars which alters the width between them.

Here is the final set up I did. First, you will notice how I placed the headrest along the top horizontal bars. That allowed a higher position for my neck while still allowing the case to be installed as intended. A bit of pressure and the headrest bent into an ideal location for me. Second, someone had asked about how to configure the drinking tube. The two images should make that clear. I know some riders use the Camelbak magnet clip--I prefer not to as it tends to interfere with pulling up and out of the back of the saddle on climbs and stop signs, etc. but a simple reach and it is repositioned over my shoulder and easy to access during long segments. Hope these help.Headrest and Case #1 2018.jpg Headrest and Case #2 2018.jpg
