I just finished riding 150 miles on my S30 over 3 days. I loved the 150mm cranks. I found the seat ok and headrest ok. I did have two issues.
1. I have a water bottle mounted on the slider but my legs would hit the bottle. The condensation also dripped. I looked at mounting a cage under the seat but the holes are at the narrowest part of the seat. None of the cages I have will fit. Even if I could put a cage there a traditional round bottle won't fit. What is the solution? A special cage and bottle?
I searched the forum and did not find something for the S30 that answered my question.
Does the cruzbike bottle cages have something special that lets the mount clear the seat lip?
2. The second issue is the handlebar. I never could find a comfortable position. The bars are really wide. My arms were flared out and I could not get the crook out of my wrist. I've read the forum topics about handlebars....salsa woodchipper etc. Can regular road drop bars be used without goofing up the steering? Is there a handlebar width range that is considered best? My bike shop always said that the drop bars on my road bike should be about my shoulder width. Is this true for the Silvio also?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
