S40 Question about Seat / Headrest / Turning

I'm one of the unholies who has used the S40 in a way other than intended. Because I didn't need it for a head/neck rest, I flipped it over, cut off the end 4" of the tubes (to remove some of the arc and allow it to insert into the frame a little longer) and clamped it in place. I mount a standard seat bag on top or bottom and clip rear lights to the bag and tube. I also keep a stretch/velcro band wrapped around it for bringing home the odd bag of bagels or other bits after a ride. Can even use it to wrap up a jacket mid ride after things (including me) warm up. Nice that the CB guys designed it just perfectly for dual duty!

For a small amount of $ send an email to us at support@cruzbike.com and Marianne will hook you up with a set of the headrest tube/pad that comes with the bike. We have spares. The stock headrest setup on the S40 is pretty good for most people.

Take a look inside the headrest holes at he top of the frame, and see if the headrest Perez clamp is inside the frame. It will be a black plastic looking piece that is bolted in. If nothing is in there we can get you one of those too, as that will be necessary to hold the headrest tube securely.

thank you! Got my headrest quickly. I appreciate the responsiveness.
