Tire Recommendations

In thought; expanding the paradigm of traversity
I just put on a couple of PirelliCinturatoVelo 26 mm tyres. I had a couple of issues with continental GP 5000 and I like the puncture protection technology better. They don't fit on a rim with a wider inner rim width of 20.4mm.

They are a bit more expensive but if they last longer then it's a great recommendation. The armoured technology has a blend of nylon with rubber. Pretty clever if you ask me.

Rudy,

I noticed you mentioned you put Conti 5000 700x32 on your S40. I'm wondering if the 5000 700x32 will fit on my 2020 S40. What year is your S40? Did you have any clearance issues with the front fork?

Thanks,

Dave
Dave,
I have a 2020 S40. Mine came standard with Kenda Kriterium Endurance 30-622 tires. I had 1.5mm clearance to the fork crown with the stock wheel and tire.
I have test fit a Conti GP5000TL 32-622 on the same wheel. I actually have a fraction of a millimeter more clearance with the Conti tire to the fork crown. Between 1.5 and 2mm.
