That's some amazing speed there.
Thanks Joseph.
Before I ever got a Cruzbike me and a buddy dreamed of breaking the 20mph average on a 40 mile flat ride.
Never made it - but I didn't know how to train up for it either and I wasn't terribly motivated beyond dreaming.
Then, when I got the Silvio it became plausible but tough to do. Not sure if I ever did it either because I wasn't tracking closely all the way and most of my rides weren't flat enough to qualify - mostly commuting and social rides.
Then, when I got the Vendetta - it became patently obvious that it was attainable.
Then, with training (fitness and fuel) that target became attainable at distance.
This event was, by far, my biggest test and I was pleasantly surprised to have done as well as this result shows.
All but the last 60+ miles was favorable wind.
All but the last 40 miles were favorable mindset.
ALL of the miles were on a favorable bike.
