V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

Well, that's circumference. More than three times the diameter.
Oh ok, that makes more sense. Weird that they're using circumference in the first place. A 2170-millimeter circumference equals a 691-millimeter diameter, and a 2175-millimeter circumference equals a 692-millimeter diameter. And the difference is halved when comparing vertical tire clearance since that's only the radius.
26mm internally, 31mm externally (on the outside edge. Does bulge out a bit over the rest of the shape. They are rated for tyres 31mm to 60mm. (I have a table that says this rim width should allow more, but they will have their reasons.)
I got these:
I was ordering there anyway and most other trispokes and such were not designed for anything more then 28mm.
That at least partially explains why your tire is shorter since wider rims make tires shorter.

Ritzelrechner is a tool to calculate and visualize your gearing. Circumference multiplied with ratio gives gear-inches, how far the bike rolls with one crank revolution. It's not meant to be a tool for tire clearance. It's just the quickes way for me to roughly compare different sizes, because I visit and use the page so often. :D

https://www.bikecalc.com/gear_meters_of_development doesn't give you the wheel dimensions, but given the same gear ratio, meters of development is greater on 32-622 than on 50-584.

As I said: With different assumptions, you can get different results. Tire width and how to measure it is not well defined. With those small differences we can just call it identical, can't we?

I run 700c tubeless 32 mm Schwalbe Pro One on a Boyd Carbon rim that is 21mm wide. T

There is ample room to go even wider IMO.
It seems that the bottleneck for 622-millimeter tires are the crossmembers on the seatstays and wheelstays. ¿How's the clearance there?

Rear tire has 10mm clearance on both sides. Front tire has 8mm at the fork and 6mm at the chainstay on both sides. So anything over 40mm (actual width) would be questionable.

I got 32mm Conti's that measure 36mm mounted on the rim on the back of the V20c.
There's about 4mm of clearance and they are big enough to make a moose pack not fit.

I think to remember a 6mm clearance with the stock 28mm High Road on my wide gravel wheel.
I am actually contemplating removing those crossmembers and replacing them with U or X shaped ones, then it should fit 40-45mm or maybe a bit more without reducing rim size. Only helps in the rear, though. So I am not sure, yet, it I want to seriously look into the feasibility or just reduce rim size after all.

Here's a 42-584 tire on the same rim (16-millmeter internal width); it fits. I wouldn't go any bigger.

A 37-622 tire mounted on a rim with a 19-millimeter internal width do not fit, tho for some reason the tire is also labeled 700x35c. The tire touches the frame but it's still possible to spin the wheel by force, so I'm guessing 32-622 is the maximum tire size on this rim width.

A 32/115-622 tire mounted on the same 19-millimeter rim. I ordered these because Pirelli makes no mention of the "/115" in the tire size, meaning it's 32×0.15 millimeters taller than 32 millimeters, which equals 36.8 millimeters, which is only a bit less the 37-622 tire, and the clearance when mounted reflects that. The tire also arrived damaged but I doubt it had any impact on the clearance in this test. Perhaps the Schwalbe tire is labeled 37-622 and 700x35c because that's another way of labeling a tire that could otherwise be labeled as 35/106-622, since 37 = 35+(35×0.06). What's fucked from Pirelli is that the next size up for this tire is a 37-622 (700x35c), so Pirelli could've labeled this tire as 36-622 (700x32c), but didn't. Perhaps unlike road tires, urban tires tend to be taller than they are wide, maybe to make room for the puncture protection. I figured the tire casing would become thicker internally instead of externally.

I was able to fit this Continental Terra Speed 35-622 on my rear wheel V20c, a 40 would easily go on the front. The wheels are 25 mm interior width and hookless. Zipp 404 Firecrest.
