What did you discovered about your Cruzbike today

I have discovered that Speedplay Frog cleats cannot be fixed in position just by bolts.

Wait....what am I missing here? My Frog cleats are held in place just with the screws that came with them. They don't move about. I must be misunderstanding something.

Angle of cleats may be adjusted. There is stop what is ment to prevent You from touching crank arm with Your heal. So It is designed in way that You are not pushing to this stop using significant force. My physiotherapist used this stop to change position of my feet to prevent knee side movement. I am pushing to this stop all time so I am using it in the way it was not designed to. Bolts was tightened to maximum but cleat has moved. Shimano 2-bolt cleats has masive tooth to connect to sole and prevent angular movement of cleat.Frog cleats has only small points. Shimano also uses bolts with much deeper hole for hex wretch so You can tighten more.

I think I understand what you're describing.
Mine are still rock-solid.
Hope the hot glue takes care of your problem with the cleats moving.

Rather you than me. You did well to stay on. 53 is my top speed on the flat and the thought of bunny hopping at that speed is a remarkable achievement

david it happened quickly and i was very lucky. plus the stability of the bike allowed a safe landing. but i do not want to hit anything again any time soon. getting air on the v is not recommended.

i have had possums (bit bigger than a rabbit) run straight at the bike and stand up in the glare of the light.........

more butt clenching and praying going on as i pass the poor things.

but it is better than the trainer :)

White or red loctite might be in order on the bolts. They are only meant to take 4nm of torque and I suspect there in lies the cause of the struggle. The glue was a great idea. Hopefully it doesn't soften when it gets hot in the sun.

Bolts wasn't lose. I simply cannot tighteen it more I would rip off hex hole, it is too shallow. So I would say that Loctite would not help.

Ah so something like double sided 40 grit sandpaper between the cleat and the shoe is more the type of resistance you need; got it.
