    Deep Rims

With all the talk from Ratz, Jason, Larry & others about the superiority of tubeless tires I decided to try them out to see how they compare. One incident helped lead me to try tubeless and that is when I was riding through town on the V to meet some friends for a ride when I experienced a...

A CruzBike appears in Bicycling magazine

No, it is not what you might think - a full on review of the Vendetta or the S40. It is in an ad for a fund raiser ride but I think this is the 1st Cruzbike to ever appear in Bicycling and the 1st recumbent to appear in their pages since Dan Koppel did a feature on the Midwest Recumbent Rally in...

    What do I have, please?

I have an old Freerider with essentially the same front suspension. I think the suspension fork is maintenance free - at least I have not had to do anything to it. The suspension does work if it takes a hard hit. I can feel it when I roll into my driveway where there is a 1" lip.

    Katy Trail

We rode the Katy once with the Missouri State Parks Dept. which puts on a ride every year. They carry your gear and provide an evening meal and camp sites along the way. The trail is hard packed dirt/fine gravel. We had 1.5" tires on our Rans Screamer recumbent tandem which worked just fine. I...

    Fun on the V

I have had my Vendetta a couple of months now and I am having so much fun exploring it's speed potential. To mount the bike I straddle the seat and then slide my butt down and forward while my chest slides down under the boom; like I imagine entering a Formula One race car is like. Once nestled...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

So an S45 is a Silvio 1.0 or 1.5 without the suspension and with a hydro formed frame and maybe a longer wheelbase? Sounds like a winner to me. I have a 1.0 which I dearly love and have named Sweet Pea because it is such a nice bike for fast but sociable crusin'. It climbs like a mountain goat...

    SOLD - Silvio - $2200 - Corvallis, OR

Shipped it off this morning to a buyer in Connecticut. This bike was my entry drug into the Cruzbike Tribe. It took me awhile to get the hang of operating the FWD, MBB system but what a revelation once everything started to click! I'll miss the down the road comfort of the dual suspension but...

    SOLD - Silvio - $2200 - Corvallis, OR

I had fenders mounted on this bike with 25c tires but that was the upper limit.

    Another Vendetta newbie

Wow, that Monster Cookie ride comes up pretty soon. I will register for it. I have never done it before. I did Lebanon's Strawberry ride last year and I have helped out with and did the metric century for our club's Covered Bridge Ride. Just got back from a 42 miler to Shedd today - got home...

    Another Vendetta newbie

velaksap, are you the person in the Eugene area I had a bit of email correspondence with? I just got a Vendetta myself. I've only done 100 miles on it so far but I'm not having any trouble with the seat - I have the Ventist pad also. The bike is a speed demon for sure. I was already pretty well...

Help with seat issue Silvio 1.5

I just installed a 100mm extension on my Silvio 1.0 which brings the bars down a bit making for a more comfortable position. I rode it 70 miles this weekend and, while not as comfortable as my Silvio 2.0, it wasn't bad. I had a bit of recumbutt at the 55 mile mark and I do notice the top of the...
