Kit Needed...I know, the impossible dream!

Someone called about the kit but got Daniel, the weekend manager who didn't know about what I posted here. I was in the shop yesterday and spoke to Daniel. The kit is still available. Come by and check it out during shop hours.

Kit Needed...I know, the impossible dream!

We checked over the CB kit and I was wrong about it being new. It had been mounted once but is in good shape although missing 2 pieces. Comparing it to an old parts list for the kit we see it is missing the axle to adapt the front wheel to the rear of the donor bike. It also seems to be missing...

I'm going into the shop today. I'll talk with the manager and take some pics of the kit.

Kit Needed...I know, the impossible dream!

I volunteer at our town's bicycle collective and we have a CB conversion kit for sale, never used and still in a box. We usually don't advertise or do any shipping but we might make an exception for this kit. I'll have to talk to the shop manager to see what we can do.

    Helmets with visors

I think most helmets are made in China and I doubt that if they were made anywhere else they would necessarily be better quality. http://forums.roadbikereview.com/general-cycling-discussion/where-your-giro-aeon-helmet-made-china-taiwan-317731.html

    Helmets with visors

This $40 helmet with visor works well for me. https://www.amazon.com/Basecamp-Specialized-Detachable-Magnetic-Sunglasses/dp/B0746GRMPD/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1512581748&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=basecamp+helmet&psc=1

Helmet for Casual, Everyday Riding: Yes or No?

I have a Base Camp helmet purchased from Amazon. It offers the same tinted eye shield as the Giro Air Attack but at 1/4 the price. It works well for me and the tinted shield is perfect for the reclined position on the Vendetta. If it clouds up outside I can easily flip the shield around with one...

Another Cruzbiker in the Willamette valley

The bottom bit of text and photo is from a FaceBook post I made 2 weeks ago. I had made contact with Ivan through this forum and met him at a local club's benefit ride in Salem back in April. For that ride he choose to ride his Eliptigo rather than his Vendetta. He contacted me recently...

    Neophyte Knee Pain Fix?

It is good to hear you have resolved your knee pain issue Winded Lowrider. As for the seat I find the stock seat with a Ventist pad to be very comfortable but then I have not tried one of the custom seats. The stock seat would seem to be the lighter choice. Have you tried adjusting your head...

    My journey to a V20

I had a P-38 prior to my purchasing a Silvio 2.0 and your experience matches mine Mixerman. The Silvio was a faster bike overall. It did take me awhile to adjust to the much more reclined position on the Silvio. I now have a Vendetta and it just flies up the short steep stuff as DavidCH says. My...

Speed difference between a Freerider and either a V20 or S30?

I have a Freerider, similar to a Sofrider but with high riser handlebars, and Suz nailed it when she called it a tank. It is difficult to start up, especially on an incline. If I'm at a stoplight and on an incline I sometimes have to walk the bike across the intersection because I cannot get...

    Joined The Tribe

I must be lucky but I have not had much trouble setting up my Vendetta's head rest. I have it so the contact point is just under my occipital bone and just under the rear strap on my helmet. It probably helps that I use a Base Camp helmet with a magnetic visor which needs to be down slightly on...

    Power Grips on a Quest

I have been using the old style mountain bike style, double sided SPD's (AKA "Spuds") ever since Shimano introduced them over 20 years ago. As a testament to how well they hold up I still have the 1st pair I ever bought. My wife uses them too and between the 2 of us we have about 6 pairs. They...

New Dates for Cruzbike Ride Retreat!

I would like to attend but the logistics of getting across the country with a bike (or bikes if Tricia decides she wants to come along) are just too daunting. Maybe next year the retreat will be up around Portland again? I did spend some time in coastal NC once. My first duty station after...
