    Houston Commuter

Here is my conversion from last summer. I have since put about 2,000km on her in daily commutes across the center of Houston (a flat, wet and muddy city). I used a Mongoose Women's 26" Impasse as the donor. I had a local bike shop pull the loose bearing bottom bracket fro the...

    3000 Miles to a cure

the goal A million dollars is such a big number. It overwhelms and inspires me just like RAAM. Also like RAAM if you break it down into little pieces (in this case 200,000 of them), you can make it through. Thanks Dan and the rest of the Cruzbike community for the support you have always...

    Attachment Size Limitation

File size limitation There is no limit for the resolution of a photo updloaded to the fourms, however the file size must be under 1mb. It is likely you were receiving an error message because of the file size rather than the resolution. The best way to resolve this issue would be to resize...

    Look Ma ... no hands!

Hi Shakey: Great video and very impressive riding. I was watching your speed thinking, I couldn't do that no hands and I'd have to go hard on my Silvio to do it with hands! I'd love it if you would post the video on our facebook page. Maria

    Women on a Quest

Thanks so much for that post! Can't wait to hear more from Melanie, Linda and Jenna. By the way, my first reaction to Jim's first conversion bike was similar to Melanie's reaction to your V1. It takes some of us a little longer to see the beauty of it. There is no going back though.

Does the MBB invite to lower cadences?

I have been hesitant to weigh in on cadence because I am a beginner cyclist. During my training, cadence was not measured on my gps; I just watched my speed. It seemed easier to pedal more slowly in a higher gear to maintain speeds over 20 mph hour after hour. It could be that with experience...

    Outlaw Trail 100

    Silvio 12 hour record

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure what my moving speed was. I'm trying to keep my average speed up around 20 mph during my training rides. I felt great after the ride - I didn't ask the other cyclist how they felt - I imagine they were numb, I wasn't!
