    Nice pannier/pack for Quest

Topeak SuperTourist DX rack Hi Hugh, Welcome to the world of ergonomic cycling :) In answer to your question about a rack suitable for touring, the Super Tourist DX Tubular Rack w/disc Mounts works very well on a Quest (and rated for 25kg), albeit needing a custom metal strap to...

To buy or to try to setup bike again (normal type)

Caution with Topeak rack on Quest Hi Toby, It is just as well that the Topeak child seat is not interchangeable onto their Super Tourist rack. I did try fitting the child seat&rack to the Quest but the single custom steel attachment allowed too much sway of the child seat. So I swapped the...

To buy or to try to setup bike again (normal type)

Hi Greg, After riding Hi Greg, After riding Cruzbikes for years I used my Merida mountain bike as a one off (as I couldn't fit the Topeak child seat onto the Quest). I soon felt the saddle pain, even with a Fizik Arione seat. I have put a massive comfort seat (Giant), but thinking of...

    Sofrider v2/k with Rohloff

Hi Patrick, Welcome to the Hi Patrick, Welcome to the forums. Thanks for weighing your bike for ak-tux. I think the Rohloff is a thing of Germanic beauty (akin to a fine Swiss watch). John, maybe we can cycle with Patrick one day, then you can check out the Rohloff invivo... Although...

    SRAM Red CBSV 007

Hi all, Here's a picture of my Silvio with SRAM Red with a triple compatible boom (thanks to JT) SRAM Red is very smooth. Double Tap works well. Cables that sit flush with the handlebars give a better forward line of sight. The gear levers also don't stick out as much, and...

    Sofrider v2/k with Rohloff

Hi all, A fresh build by a friend. (wish it was mine), Sofrider v2/k with a Rohloff Speedhub and a Topeak Super Tourist DX rack. Had a quick test ride, very nicely fitted together, would be a sweet touring bike. Extra holes had to be drilled for the mudguard mount, note not...

    Fast descents question

Welcome GT, Your problem of wobbly feeling on fast descents might be stem from the change in feedback which occurs if one stops pedaling. (I know it seems a bit counterintuitive when one is going v. fast but turning the pedals even slowly helps) Happy Cruzing Kendrick

    Suggestions for Rear Rack?

Took the bike for a ride with the bag on. Found that with the weight of the rider (63kg) on the suspension, the bag (reasonably tall) can touch the back wheel. Had to tilt the top of the rack 45 degrees towards the seat to maintain clearance. hmmm.

    Suggestions for Rear Rack?

Hi all, A while back tenhand suggested the Xootr Cross rack http://www.xootr.com/crossrack-bike-rack.html Here are photos of it fitted to my wife's Quest. Haven't gone riding with it yet. Tilted slightly to clear the rear wheel. Will need to remount rear lights. cheers Kendrick

Transporting a Quest (and other Cruzbikes)

Thanks for the info Dennis. Looking to get one myself for my Silvio/wife's Quest. Suspect my previous Silvio titanium suspension breakage was due to carrying it on a standard tow ball rack. Did the modification to fit the Silvio involve any welding or can it be done by the end user? regards...

    CBSV-098

Hi zivl3, Like the bike too. The Axiom rack w bag combination looks like it has the added advantage of acting as a mudguard to prevent the annoying water splash to the back of the head phenomenon. Does it do this well? cheers Kendrick

    YAS CBSV-070

Hi Dennis, that is one very nice Silvio you have there. Good work I remember what the first ride on the very same prototype Silvio was like and the urge to buy one on the spot. I might have to get a Gekko for a rear light... great thought to put it on the rear suspension. happy Cruzing Kendrick
