Reviving an old thread as found a satisfactory bike lock that can be carried on a Silvio (with minimal rattle)
The ABUS Bordo http://www.abus-bordo.com/gb/default.htm
Interesting name. Despite being a folding lock has an security rating comparable to most D-locks.
Cost: about $90 US, 45...
I concur, especially eel infested waters ;) [anyone seen Princess Bride?]
You might be so used to counteracting FWD torque steer with the upper body that you are unaware of it except under strenuous riding.

JonB, if you ride between the same two locations, perhaps you could get two locks and leave them locked to the racks there.
Otherwise, we could commision a "Silvio Taser" to fit in the underseat gap...

Hi John,
It is very well sorted already- however, a mounting point for a D-lock would be great (perhaps at the back of the seat ?)- having to carry it round in my pannier bag.
Haven't figured out how to secure it to the rack.

Managed to join a 30-40 person peleton doing 38-42km/h...
Hi all,

Need a Tardis function included on the Silvio Gen II wishlist ;)
cheers (and have a blessed Easter everyone)

Hi Hotdog,
Changing to a different cassette if need be wouldn't be very expensive or difficult, but you'd want to make the right choice of double/compact/triple cranks at the beginning.
