Big Tube, Classic Yellow, and Rolling Again

If you want to sustain 50kph you need all the aero help you need and hide those cables. For sure I prefer and always go out when its dry. It's just the best.

    Absolute Black Premium Oval Chainrings

My 10 cents... ovals are better with bigger cranks 165 plus. I have 155 cranks now and I prefer circular chainrings because my cadence is higher. So it depends on how you ride.

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

Luke isnt so happy with the fwd shifter ... there is some cheap plastic that brakes on the 11 speed version. Not sure about the 12 speed brifter

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

The quality isnt bad but it's not hydro brakes. The shifters are a bit weird ... like you have to shove it straight into your thighs if you use with drop handlebars but I reckon it would work really well with xshifter. Xshifter physically wont fit into the down tube without modification. (The...

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

Here's an idea... why not go for the sensah 2x12 carbon and get a xshifter. Instead of putting xshifter on the outside... place it in the down tube. I reckon you could get a 12 speed cassette with a 10t to 34t which would give you the latitude you need and still have change from $500

    Box on front porch today...4/3/2020

It's probably been shipped from taiwan so it's probably been in transit for 5 days already. Stuff coming out of china is taking a whole lot longer anyways. I dont think the shipping handlers want the virus either.

    Tokyowheel sale

Well there is so much terrible news at the moment I thought this would brighten things up. Just found a sale 50% off regarding descent carbon wheelset. There seem to be a lot in the pipeline at the moment. I have my eye in china cycling's winspace hyper wheels whatever they are called $1100 a...

first ride to work of 2020

You are lucky. If the police see me on a bike ... I get a fine. Let's pray that riding a bike in spain gets lifted soon! The roads are so so quiet... it's just so tempting.

    Staying Healthy

Hello... as you probably aware Spain has the 4th highest Corona virus outbreak. It's a little difficult to move around. The authorities won't even let me use my bike. I would suggest if you haven't a trainer for the bike then get one as you might find yourself stuck at home for a while. If you...

Why are new bikes so heavy?

I actually love direct mount rim brakes... they just feel superior to the normal caliper rim brakes. Where I live its dry and sunny most of the year. But disk brake even though its heavier would be an aero advantage when above 25kph. One of this years modifications to the Vendetta.

Thinking about upgrading to a V20?

You will need a very big suitcase for a Vendetta. If you really want to travel with one... go wireless. It will save you a huge amount of effort.

Why are new bikes so heavy?

Eat a pizza for lunch and do your check in the evening. Most riders are stronger later in the day.

Why are new bikes so heavy?

Muscle comes back into shape quickly and water retention will fall off and the fat collapse... it wont take long at all.
