    2019 S40 coming soon!

And I'm still getting it done on my Silvio 1.0. I still get all kinds of comments about what a cool design it is and they are shocked when I tell them it's actually "old-school"! It stands the test of time. But that Orange..... I could be swayed to upgrade!

I have to say.... That orange paint is awesome. Now, if I could get a frame set with that color...

    2019 S40 coming soon!

I would second that concern. I think the 1x is probably a great system for mountain biking and gravel bikes. The latter is a hot topic, currently, so I understand the trend. I'm hoping that I am correct and those of us that are predominantly pavement pounders will have the option of more...

    2019 S40 coming soon!

The good news, I think, is apparently the front derailleur mount is still there, which means it should be offered as a frame set.

    2019 S40 coming soon!

I've looked it over. As much as I like the idea of a simpler setup, I just don't think that the 1 x would satisfy me all the time. My running gear of choice is a road triple and to be honest, probably 85% of the time I run on the middle 42 tooth ring with a bit more of a small range rear...

    2019 S40 coming soon!

I hope that the bike will still be offered as a frameset. 1 x 11 only offers you up to a 44t front ring. No problem on the low end, you could ride straight up a wall, as long as you could maintain traction. But 44-11 is going to spin out pretty quickly on downhills. Personally, the front...

I still would like to see a helicopter thingy attachment.

Good looking out, Doug, good looking out! LOL!!

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

It looks to be like the hot ticket would be to lower that seat and then the recline, if necessary, then whack about a foot off that steer tube. You'd lower your C of G somewhat and in effect, raise your bottom bracket in one move. Definitely some possibilities with this bike! Mark

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

Now, I am more hopeful than ever of a revised front end arrangement. With a helicopter thingy attachment.

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

I was on a stretch of road near Palm Springs the other day. I say "road", but there really wasn't much left of it. Worst piece of "pavement" I've ever endured and was brutal even with suspension. So, I'm still down for the helicopter thingy attachment.

Where does the motivation go when commuting

This thread has spiked my interest in commuting again. At least one way. I was riding really well when I was putting in all those miles.

Where does the motivation go when commuting

Been there, done that. The best thing to do is realize that even an easy day is better than driving the car. So what if you have a slower average, or don't go as hard as you like? Trust me, you'll burn out on hammering, too, when the gains start coming harder. I'd suggest picking sections of...

Our Three T50 Builds, and Maybe a Sofrider Retro-fit

I know what you speak of. One rider was recently asking about my bike and in particular, if the front end moves with each pedal stroke. I began explaining to him the effect of pedal steer and how the upper body input counters. His eyes quickly glazed over.

Bikism Is For Real; starting over again

I am definitely a gray beard and I'm OK with that. Good to see you still around, Doug. You are still one of the faces of Cruzbike, to me. I'm a little on the fence with what I want to do with my riding this time around. I'm reinventing myself physically and I can do pretty much whatever I...

Bikism Is For Real; starting over again

I have been part of a local bicycle club since the late nineties, a good portion of that time riding one recumbent, or the other and a spattering of uprights. After about a five year hiatus from riding and especially the club, I have returned. Yeah, I know, big deal. I've taken time off the...

Purchase Upgraded components from later model Cruzbikes

I still want a helicopter thingy to adapt to my Silvio 1.0. Apparently, this is asking too much. Mark
