    Silvio 1.0 front shock

I know just the bump you're talking about. That bridge that juts out over the channel. Brutal bump. Anyway... I'd love to hook up for a ride and eyeball that S30. Mark

    Silvio 1.0 front shock

I always used to run 100# in it and it was fine. I don't remember it making this sound unless I forgot to pump it up. I am a bit heavier, now, then when I rode it before, but I don't recall ever running it that high. Anything is worth a try, though. Mark

    The Fred Thread

I've been reading all the go-fast threads and the racing threads and while that's pretty darned impressive... It's not me. I'm a Fred. Especially right now... I'm fairly rotund, at the moment, with a full on aerobelly and Santa Clause beard. I have the genuine old fogey over the glasses...

    Silvio 1.0 front shock

I seem to have an issue, I think, with my front shock. When I hit a bigger bump, it sounds like it's completely void of air pressure. When I put the pump on the shock, though, it shows I have 100# in it. I bumped the pressure and it seems to be holding. It rides like butter most of the time...

    I'm Back! Well..... Sorta.

You know what, Doug? It hurts more now than it did nine years ago! I'm making slow and steady progress, though, walking, stair climbing and riding. Ready to start doing one way commutes to work. Good luck on your comeback. Looking forward to reading about it

    Shine on you crazy diamond

I do, as well. I have one mounted on the rack and one that goes on my helmet. The rack mount light I have is ancient, but works pretty well. Mark

    Shine on you crazy diamond

That's kind of my way of thinking, too. I have some pretty decent, albeit older tail lights that are pretty bright. I'm not going to overthink it. Mark

    Shine on you crazy diamond

I read through this thread after being directed over here.. Technology sure has come a long way! I remember my first headlight, way back when I first started riding, was a cheap Cateye halogen and ran on two C cells, if you can imagine. Even in the pathetic shape I was in, I could outrun...

    EnLIGHTen me

I looked at that thread before posting here.. Honestly, I didn't give it a fair enough look. I will move my discussion over to that thread. Mark

    EnLIGHTen me

Oh... Maybe this applies. Is there anybody that retrofits old NiteRider housings? Thanks again! Mark

    EnLIGHTen me

I'm contemplating at least one-way trips to work on my Sofrider while I slowly whip myself back into shape. This would necessitate lights. I have an ancient NiteRider setup that was pretty top of the line back in the day, but old school, now. I always kind of favored the helmet mount, as it...

    Eye catching

If I didn't already have a Sofrider, I might be in the market for a utilitarian bike and a loaner for people that want to try. Being the hoarder that I am.... I want one just because! Mark

    Eye catching

Exactly what I was getting at.. It's never black and white. For me, building a computer just didn't make sense. But a bike? That's another story! Mark

    Eye catching

I think entry level is probably not the right term. Maybe entry level to the world of MBB bikes, yes. I think the frameset option will always appeal to the aging wedgie rider that wants to give "this thing" a try without breaking the bank. Also, guys that are riding other recumbents and...

    Prior Bachetta owners?

Yes, probably about that time frame. I just remember your office was literally right underneath the Hollywood sign.

Carrying your Cruzbike on a motorcycle

Very true. I can only think of one time that I've seen a bicycle on the back of a motorcycle, but I know it's been done. A friend of mine was trying to source out a motorcycle bike rack several years ago, but ended up selling the motorcycle. If I can come up with a design that makes sense, I...

Carrying your Cruzbike on a motorcycle

It can't hurt to try, I guess. I'll check in with them. Thanks! Mark

Carrying your Cruzbike on a motorcycle

Thanks for the reply. I checked out 2x2 and they don't show any Goldwing specific racks or plates. I found this pic: While that's not quite what I had in mind... It's closer. I want to keep as narrow profile as possible for lane splitting, which completely rules out a trailer solution. Mark

Carrying your Cruzbike on a motorcycle

Thanks, I saw his Avatar and figured as much. His bike is configured a little bit different than mine. I did some searching on the Interwebs and came up with a couple ideas. I don't think this will be without some fabrication. Mark

Carrying your Cruzbike on a motorcycle

Has anybody attempted this? I have a Goldwing and it's pretty much my primary form of transportation. I have a trailer and could rig something up with that, but for other reasons, I want to leave the trailer out of the equation. I have some ideas with my trailer hitch and rear crashbar...
