    I got me a JONESING!!

First off, it dawned on me today that in a few days, it will mark 6 years of being a member of the Cruzbike community. That hardly seems possible! I had to work the math out on my fingers three or nine times before I could even believe it! I browsed through the forum, reading some crusty...

New Car to transport my Silvio

Hi Mark,  You know the Hi Mark, You know the rules. Pictures, or it didn't happen. [Laughing out loud] LOL!!! I think I actually made that rule.... Maybe! Truthfully, I would do that, but I'd have to get my teenage daughter to clean out the back of the Focus. That might...

New Car to transport my Silvio

Nice car and contrats! You Nice car and contrats! You know, one of the best things about a Silvio is the fact that the bike basically hinges in half. I have put my bike in the back of a Ford Focus, just by removing the rear wheel, doubling it over and sliding it in. I like your...

    Tall Riders--feedback wanted

Old thread, I know.. I'm Old thread, I know.. I'm right at 6' and with my Silvio 1.0, I'm just fine. The 100 mm extension may, or may not help me out, but I'd be leery to try it. I had foot numbing issues with a Bachetta Strada that I just don't get with the Silvio. I blamed it on the...

Want to see what CruzBike Shocks are doing

I don't think I'd want much I don't think I'd want much more travel than that. You'd get too much pogoing on climbs and that is costly in terms of energy expended. Mark

    Thinking about a Silvio 2

Thanks, Ratz.  Not so worried Thanks, Ratz. Not so worried about where to get cranks as much as how the rings will do with nine speed chain. You answered that question. Thanks again! Mark

    Thinking about a Silvio 2

Thinking about getting a Silvio 2. Just reading on the website that it only accepts ten speed systems. I'm not a real fan of the ten, so I figured I'd probably stick to a nine. I get that you have to run an external bearing bottom bracket, so it becomes necessary to run a ten speed crank...

    Clipped In & Loving It

You really have to be clipped You really have to be clipped in. The bike is much easier to ride clipped in. You have to be comfortable, though, but overcoming the fear is so worth the effort. I was never a big fan of carbon fiber soled shoes with road cleats on them with my Silvio. Put...

For You, Is Left Right or is Right Right?

I push off with the stronger I push off with the stronger leg and counter steer, as John suggests. I also pull the pedal all the way through the pedal stroke until my left foot catches up with the pedal. This prevents the herky-jerky start and really helps on an incline. Mark

    Wobbly rear end

I used to have a wobbly rear I used to have a wobbly rear end. That's the reason I started riding. Seriously... When I first started riding, I got that sensation a lot. I figured out pretty quickly it was body english, or the wrong amount at the wrong times and it usually manifested...

Front wheel / On & Off

For What it's Worth I also run my skewer in from the derailleur side.. Originally, I did this so I could pull it out just far enough to clear the wheel and keep the derailleur hanger in place. Now, I do it just because it trips roadies out to see the QR lever on the "wrong" side. The theme...

Front wheel / On & Off

Ain't Nothing But a Thing You have to pull the skewer out at least far enough to clear the wheel. Personally, I like to pull it all the way out and let the derailleur and hanger flop around on the end of the cable. It really trips roadies out. To make things easy, I flip the bike upside...
