    Grips slipping

I have found that installing things with alcohol isn't alway the best idea. Oh wait, you were talking about something else, weren't you?     Mark

    Tried a Sofrider

Thanks, Steve. Actually, you were on my mind as I was riding the bike and writing my report. I was thinking about your elongated chain stays and other mods. Nice bike from the box with room for upgrades and "hot-rodding". What more could a guy ask for? I just got lucky with this deal...

    Tried a Sofrider

If I ever have the opportunity, Jon, you can bet I will. I suspect it will be pretty much the same, though I'm sure the ergonomics are a little different with the handlebar layout. Mark

    Tried a Sofrider

I got my hands on a Sofrider to try and thought I'd share my initial impressions. The bike I have is used and needed some adjustments. Nothing real serious, but I had to extend the boom and that caused some issues with the front derailleur cable. It had apparently been to the beach as there...

Adding a front changer to a conversion.

No, that will bolt right on. However.... Depending on how big your front chainring is. That one is only rated for 48 teeth, max. If you have a road crankset, that may or may not shift well to the big ring. If you are running mountain bike components, you're golden. Mark

    New Silvio

Beautiful bike!!! I love the Aerospokes on there! Oh yeah, welcome to the board, too! I'm sure you can get another pump. I have two extras and if you happen to have a regular mountin bike shock pump available to you, that will work, too. Mark

    Test ride wanted

I'm not a dealer, but I live fairly close (Redlands). You're more than welcome to try my bike, but it might be a few days. Busy this weekend and next. Maybe a mid-week after work thing would work. Mark

    Steep Hills

First of all, I would suggest reducing tire pressure on the front. Secondly, I would tell you that technique is everything. Are you clipped in? Are you spinning, or mashing? A smooth spin will work wonders for you. Interesting, because I ride a Silvio and have had slippage issues, but...
