    Bar-end Shifters on a Silvio

Are you talking about the computer mount? No, it's dead center and out of the way of everything. Somewhere on here, there is a thread with more detail on that. In the way back time machine portals.

    I'm Back! Well..... Sorta.

Not that kind of funny walk. My calves were bawling. Partly from overdoing it with stair climbing on Friday and the ride just polished them off! Mark

    Bar-end Shifters on a Silvio

I know I'm late to this party... I ran bar ends mounted on Paul Thumbies just above the brake hoods and liked them real well. The were easily reached, at least for me. I 'd run them again, too. Mark

    I'm Back! Well..... Sorta.

You know.... If you saw how I was walking this morning, you'd probably think differently. Something akin to a penguin with a hitch in his giddyup.. Soon enough, I reckon, I'll be fully back but in the meantime.... Geez this hurts! Mark

    I'm Back! Well..... Sorta.

I've been all too long off the Cruzbike, again. I got all tangled up with motorcycles for a while. Anything with two wheels, I guess. I decided my britches were getting too tight and my wind running short, but I knew just what to do. A buddy talked me into doing a ride in December and that...

    Silvio Under-Seat Storage

Way to think outside the box! Way to think outside the box! Great idea, but as you suggested, I'd worry a little about the bungies a little. They do weaken after time. Still a great idea! Mark

    Newbie Rider Report

Actually, clipless pedals Actually, clipless pedals have greatly simplified the pedaling process. It's been known for decades that attaching oneself to the pedals and spinning the full rotation of the pedals was the most efficient way. The old way of doing this was with toe clips. You had a...

    Newbie Rider Report

I generally find that hard I generally find that hard soled road shoes tend to be more slippery when you stop and put your foot down. Especially true when you're starting out. As suggested before, I recommend a mtb shoe or sandal. Usually, the spd cleat will be recessed into the sole and you...

    Newbie Rider Report

Way to go!! Are you clipping Way to go!! Are you clipping in, or running on flat pedals? The reason I ask is part of your knee pain could be due to mashing. I think it will go away, but you'd be well advised to clip in, once you get comfy enough to do so. These bikes, especially, do...

    I got me a JONESING!!

mgraham, To my knowledge, mgraham, To my knowledge, there is no special robe. There is, though, some sort of twisted idea you have to have facial hair and an aerobelly to ride a recumbent. I never really bought that, though, so I won't try too hard to sell it to you. Best you learn...
