Here's a mounting kit to make Here's a mounting kit to make a socked tailbox. Making a similar frame shouldn't be too hard (should be easier than actually making a proper tail box). Here's a single BROL post about them, too.,

Starting to look quite Starting to look quite interesting. As long as you're setup to see how aero you are, put a sock on it (and a tail box). I think you could see some real improvements! Nicely done, Charles

    Sofrider vs TWIG

Twig looks cute and if you Twig looks cute and if you want a RWD stick bike that folds, I think it might be a good choice. When I bought my Sofrider, I wanted to try the MBB FWD platform and I am very glad I did. If you want to try MBB bikes for cheap, I highly recommend Cruzbike...

    pannier rack needed for quest

Hi Hugh, The only issue I see Hi Hugh, The only issue I see is that you are somewhat short-circuiting the rear suspension by attaching the bottom of the rack to the rear "triangle" and the top to the seat. This is the same thing that I did on my Sofrider, but I found that the rear...

    Silvio 1.0 and 2.0 Comparison

Can you fit the Silvio 2.0 People have definitely mounted neck rests on Silvio 1.Xs (see this or this). By far and away, the biggest difference is going to be the seat angle. If you like the 45 degree seat angle, the Silvio 1.X will be a much better deal for you. If you want the lower...

    Which quest is best

I like the gearing on the 451 I like the gearing on the 451 Quest (called 20", but not the same 20" you'll find on most folders which are 406) much better than the 559 (26") Quest. It's the same hardware, but with the 26" wheel, I the low end is geared too high. You can pack the 451 Quest in...

    Wanted: Quest or Sofrider

For what it's worth, I For what it's worth, I wouldn't dis a 451" Quest 2. The only "issue" with the 451 is that you are more limited in tire choices, but I think the gearing on the Quest 2/3's make a lot more sense with the 451 over the 559.

Steer With Legs - Otherwise Fight

Yes, I can ride with no hands Yes, I can ride with no hands for short distances (I've gone a few tenths of miles deliberately to see how far I can do it - I should try again). First, the headtube angle on his bike is much more shallow than on Cruzbikes, so they will handle quite...

Steer With Legs - Otherwise Fight

Riding with no hands is a Riding with no hands is a useful technique for mastering pedal steer, but not so important in itself. And you've still only been at it for about a month, so even though you feel your learning has plateaued, I'm betting that it hasn't. It really is just work on...

    Carrying a lock?

Of course they aren't I think this says it all. I don't think I'd trust these in NYC, but then I don't think I'd trust anything there. Most other places, I think you've struck a quite reasonable balance.

    Tight Turns

Hi Trekster, First, that Hi Trekster, First, that video is hilarious ( "The new Cruzbike is Awesome !") Thanks for finding that. Second, by your description, you've accomplished a lot in three weeks. But it's only been three weeks. I think riding these bikes can take a couple...

    Amateur aerodynamics

I would be very impressed to Well, it is just stretchy fabric (and at speed, there isn't too much movement anymore). The Vendetta probably isn't the right bike for that as the rider is probably too horizontal. The Silvio V1.X, however, is probably perfect!

Is the Silvio easier to steer than the Sofrider?

Hi, I agree with Rich.  Start Hi, I agree with Rich. Start working towards learning how to ride with no hands: Start with open palms, work on getting a nice, smooth spin on your pedals. I agree that clipless (or other foot retention) helps here. Then just one hand, still working on...
