    Using same cassette

I believe most 8,9, and 10 I believe most 8,9, and 10 speed shimano/SRAM cassettes can all use (mostly) the same hub. This suggests that you'll probably be able to use the same cassette on the new wheel. Here are two unrelated questions: 1) What are you going to do about brakes? 2)...

what does the seat of the Silvio 2.0 weigh?

11.5 Kg?  (11.5 lbs would be 11.5 Kg? (11.5 lbs would be amazing). I'll point out that even if the weight savings is a pound, buying a carbon seat for lower weight isn't a great use of money - it's total weight (bike + rider) that matter and that's really only when climbing. If you...

    Ladies bike as donor

Hi, Andrew's suggestion about Hi, Andrew's suggestion about the Stowabike is very good. I considered the same bike (but went with a 20" folder instead). Not only is the seat height good, but you can fold the bike (you'll have to remove at least part of the seat). Components aren't...

wheels: unwise to go with 20/24 spoke wheel set?

I would be surprised if I would be surprised if someone of your weight had any problems with a well built wheel with 24 spokes. That being said, if you're paying a lot for the wheel, I'd go with the higher spoke count. cheers, Charles

Mongoose Beast as a Donor Bike

Hi, My first concern is seat Hi, My first concern is seat height. You want your inseam + 3 or 4 inches. My second concern is that the conversion kit assumes the rear wheel is wider than the front, and I'm not sure that's true here. Third, and my biggest concern is that the wheel is too...

How difficult is it to hold your legs up?

Hi, I agree with i009899: Hi, I agree with i009899: Without foot retention, you'll notice it when coasting. With clipless pedals (or to a lesser degree with other foot retention), there is no problem at all. I also recommend foot retention once you are used to this bike as it gives a...

Note to forum admin: This is a post essentially about a competing manufacture. I explain in the post why I think this is relevant for us, but I'll understand if you feel otherwise and remove the post.
