    Cracked Carbon Wheel

maybe a longer chain possibly but we are talking front chain rings not cassette here. Certainly adding teeth ( rear cassette) via a wolf tooth etc can quickly require a long cage rear mech. to be fitted. Apart from v20 all my bikes are fitted with mtb rear long cage mechs so I can fit a...

    Cracked Carbon Wheel

You would have to check compatibility capacity of your front mech. though. should not be an issue . Seen many chainrings with bigger jumps than recommended. Heck I’ve got a triple road with a 24 granny 39 and 53 and changes are okay. Catrike 700 long chain.......s For sure you’ll run out of...

    Cracked Carbon Wheel

I use a 52 / 34 ultegra 6800 originally 52/36 mid compact. Got to love 110 mm bcd standardisation on shimano except for the four arms lol. Anyhow it changes well and never overshoots top or bottom. Go get yourself a 52 and try it.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Have you got a spare wheel set to rule out noisy wheels. I doubt it’s the wheels unless it’s new or total lack spoke individual or as a whole tensioning but you can check tension and new wheels just need you to grab a handful Of spokes and bed them in by deflecting them in your grasp. There...

Congratulations mark. Great bike take your time learning. Re bottle mounts I don’t have the cruzbike holders but did fit lezynes albeit with spacers to step the holder away from seat. What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

South Australia could not contend with nsw. We have Sydney harbour. Bondi and manly beaches And Jennifer Hawkins. Nsw invented Australia. How bout those 2000 olympics. Heck South Australia has got a great big bite out of it. Must have tasted very bad like stale sweaty crow eating armpits...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

That’s plain cruel David. I’ve never considered south Australian heads to be that big. In breeding will do that especially combined with imbibing sewerage. True rough chipseal roads are better than red bull dust. Still with Silvio suspension we can both agree. It will be interesting to try...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Ordered a cobb 155 mm crankset to see if 15 mm is too long. Ordered a brain box bag. To see if my brains will fit for upcoming audax ride. Put a tube in my headrest and I like it. Got tired of two weeks rain and put the vendetta on the trainer. Looked at my tyres . Lol.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Reasonable is good and I wasn’t inferring you did not. Tyres no matter what brand are taken for granted by a lot of cyclists till that day of the blowout. My audax mate who super glued his cuts and nicks and went beyond the tyre wear indicator was possibly an extreme. His tyres were 451 20”...

BOUGHT TODAY 2017 01 27 slightly used Silvio S30 frameset with front Suspension

The warmth of the jt posterior on your trial bikes fades as the signature on my bike glows gloriously on the garage wall. Of course the story of meeting him and his family means more. And of course involved yourself. How are you liking the s30.

    Crash due to flat tire

I guess you would be able to find out from the tube. But the tyre had wire so most likely slow. Regular inspection of your tyres prevents a lot of issues though not all. I pull out glass and wire regularly. Do it weekly with the tyre pressure check. I’d straighten the ring as slim describes...

    Crash due to flat tire

Bombing down a hill at close to a 100 klm / hr is trusting your tyres. Sorry to hear of your crash Kenneth. The trauma can be ongoing. If you’re riding city streets tubeless makes sense or regular deflation and squeeze check inspect your tyres. Or tannus tyres. Get back on the horse...

Front wheel drive and why it fails the "stability when you most need it" test.

Footnote. Poit is a friend who still makes stuff supreme including a recent full carbon bent bike. He at 62 is still riding up a storm. Meanwhile flying furniture flew out the window several years ago.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Conti gp4000 s 11 are seemingly a very popular tyre choice. Anecdotally most of my cycling group use them. I have used them for many years following the size trends and have not experienced any issues. But I have noticed on some of the older (3-4 year old) replaced smaller 23 -25 mm tyres that...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

Over the years as I swapped between platforms it seemed to take about two weeks to see same numbers. Power meter hub based and heart rate monitor. Specifically my heart rate was higher 10 bpm for around 220 watts on the df. After a few weeks I found similar numbers. I put this fact down to...
