Look out here come the Chinese

Ozy rules robots. Let cruzbike go to market with titomic 3d titanium cruzbikes. It was so ingrown of me to have a light bike that I made a 5kilo crit racer. No way is it endurance and it's twitchy. Just got to train myself up with the nearest velodrome ; which is a mile away. But exciting...

Look out here come the Chinese

As light as it seems , it does look chunky. I don't think it's as aero.

    1X Drivetrain

I have been so impressed with my last little project that only cost me $700 that I bought these oval 1 speed chainring from alibaba . I will let you know how it goes when they arrive. This crit bike build has a one speed round chainring and it hugs. On my V I can be sure that the chain will...

    Knee issue - need suggestions

They are little slices of angled plastic/carbon that go between your cleats and shoes ... so you bolt them in between. Some of us try it out and if the knee problem disappears then leave it. Long distance riders feel it more than others. If you are out training every day then a weakness will...

    Helmets with visors

Alibaba sell some really good looking visor helmets but can't say I would want to try a crash out with one. I am waiting for the Giro Vanquish to come out. Then I won't get my head fried even in the winter.

    Little tweaks

Oddly enough I got the idea from the global cycling network. If you ever want o get the better of someone then you can fill his inner tube with water and close the valve. (That was quite an interesting episode to watch). There were other interesting techniques to. Basically fill your pump up...

Explaining Learning to ride a recumbent to a world class DF rider who has doubts

That's the trouble. You're world class... you want to try the best beast of the bunch and your COG is so way down it's un-nerving. Start with a rental of a S40 and then switch over to the V20 after 3 weeks. That would be a fast track to not getting white knuckles. I'm sure the Parkers would...

    Pike's Peak

This climb looks super ... Guess you won't go as fast as this guy but it still should be just as excillerating on the downhill. https://journal.classiccars.com/2017/09/26/somewhat-modified-1965-ford-mustang-hoonigans-pikes-peak/

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Well... for me it seems if I reduce my carb intake that any muscle inflammation seems to recover a lot quicker. Not sure why. Maybe because in order to eat the same amount of calories I have to eat more of the good things. Protein ... nuts ... etc

    Cruzbike KOM/QOM challenge 10-31-17 thru 10-10-18

Kyle uses the wind to the greatest effect... cold air is denser. Best time for a KOM is in June for the guys down under... I reckon it's going to be a close finish.

    Knee issue - need suggestions

If your feet naturally stick out in a V shape you might be naturally flat footed like me. It's quite common to have wedges fitted to the cleats more so on the problem knee foot. But an ftp test is usually only 20 minutes. Before wedges I use to get knee issues for rides longer than an hour. Try...

    Enough for a team yet?

Gee wizzz. My heart was with you Connie. I might just have to get that tv set after all. Is there a smart trainer out there that rocks so you can power up the hills in zwift? Being black Friday... I might be able to buy something on the cheap.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Ho Ho I did this with one of my bikes... it's pretty old. The drive chain is as quiet as a mouse until I put any power on it then the cassette slips ... The sprockets on the cassette are worn out. Slightly irritated as the plan was to sell the bike without having to update anything. So if you...

    Little tweaks

The inner tube filled with water is a twist on the usual way of stretching shoes. The usual way is a plastic zip bag you will up with water whilst in your shoe. You then secure the bag and put in the freezer. It should stretch any shoe. If you have carbon shoes they probably be expensive... I...
